The green economy is an economy in which predominates the use of green technologies, sustainable or renewable.

Benefits of green economy The green economy has a number of social benefits. In the following we try to list a few positive aspects: Energy production with less impact on the environment. In the green economy are mainly used sources of renewable energy and alternative energy sources. Some examples of green technologies are wind, solar, biomass, etc.. Greater efficiency and less waste. Products / services of a green economy takes less energy to operate or to carry out their work. Less environmental impact. CO2 emissions are the main cause of the greenhouse effect, the resulting global warming (global warming) and climate change. As humanity transitions to life within the Twenty First Century, the global economy is beginning to make a transition of its own from a polluted and unsustainable economy built on fossil fuels to a modern clean and sustainable green economy. The United Nations Environment Programme defines a green economy as improved human well-being and social equity, while significantly reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcities (UNEP, 2010, p. 16). Many Asian governments have begun to issue policy that will guide Asian nations toward a future green economy. While the government is capable of issuing edicts in regards to the green economy, Asian corporations have begun to adapt green technology that will further several Asian nations economic goals. The European Union in addition to several European nations are pushing themselves toward a modern green economy. European companies are adopting environmentally sound policies and are engaging in both the development and production of many green products and technologies. While the green economy maybe benefiting many nations, Spains solar industry nearly imploded due to a collapse I government support. Both federal and state governments are pushing to ensure that the United States will dominate the green economy. American firms have begun to invest heavily into green industries and the position of the United States in the green economy is rapidly growing.
