    Dear Mr. Gokul Retnakar, I went to UK as part of the Future International Leaders Program of British government.

    I was invited because of my record of being British Chevening Scholar. It had nothing to do with either Government of Kerala and / or my then position as Economic Advisor to the Hon. Chief Minister, Kerala. Not one rupee has been spent by Government of Kerala for my UK trip or any of my foreign trips. Your allegation that I have drawn Rs. 73.50 Lacs from Government of Kerala is a repetition of the wild and baseless allegation by Shri. P C George, Shri. V S Sunilkumar and Shri. K Surendran. I have already issued legal notices to the three of them and fully intend to sue them for defamation. During the UK trip as mentioned above, I attended the Reading FC vs. Manchester United FC football match in Manchester as part of the discussions of Eagles FC, Kerala to partner with Reading FC, UK to promote football development in Kerala. I intend to continue my pursuit of love for football (similar to my father) without any support from Government. At no point have I denied my foreign trips. Infact, all my foreign trips have been with permission from Government of Kerala with not even one rupee being spent by Government of Kerala. While few elements of Kerala society may not find value in my qualifications and / or experience, I get regularly invited to speak and participate in major international conferences and sometimes gets paid Speaking Fees for my speeches. In the financial year 2012-13, I received over Rs. 9.00 Lacs as Speaking Fees which is included in my Income Tax Return similar to how it was done in the past also. For your information, this photo was posted by my nephew Mr. Mohammed Tariq who was then a student in USA and I have myself shared this on my Facebook. I tried to put in a comment under your post but cannot as I am not connected with you. Natural Justice demands that I be given an opportunity to respond to such defamatory campaign by you.
