Proceedings, and Homicide sections. Investigated and prosecuted complex financial fraud cases.
Honored by U.S. Secret Service for Superior Contribution to Law Enforcement.
• Special Assistant to the Assistant Attorney General, Criminal Division, U.S. Department of
Justice, 1997-1998. Served as point person for DOJ on President's International Crime Control
Strategy and International Crime Control Act Coordinated Executive inter-agency review process and
Strategy roll-out, including extensive work with ail federal agencies involved in promoting public
safety (e.g., NSC, FBI, DEA, INS, USCS, Stale Department, Coast Guard, CIA). Achieved passage of
the Act in the U.S. Senate. TS (SCI) clearance. '• ;
• Assistant State's Attorney, Montgomery County, Maryland, 1999-2002. Team Leader, Bethesda
Team of Community Prosecutors; worked with police, businesses, and citizens groups to identify and
solve crime problems; specialized in domestic violence, child and elder abuse cases; authored and
oversaw implementation of community prosecution grants from the U.S. Dept of Justice; liaison to
Maryland General Assembly froro Montgomery County State's Attorney's OfSce.

• Councilman, Town of Scrcsriet, Chevy Chase, Maryland, 2001-present One of five elected members

• Candidate, Montgomery County Circuit Coiin Judge, 2002. Won Republican Primary, coming in first
out often candidates. Received 122,148 votes in the general election, but failed to unseat an
incumbent.
