WHO ARE YOU???...

Let us continue contemplating the question of

Who You Are through the worlds and heavens perspectives. When we are pounded by the question of who are you in daily life, largely the answer will be like, doctor, engineer, artist, pastor, evangelist, planter, Singer, Athlete, billionaire etc. These answers actually voice what you do and not define who you are. In the existing culture, the question of what you do is for the sake of knowing who you are. In other word one's identity is defined by the profession, possessions and the talents of the person. In worlds system, you are defined by what you do and what you have Let us consider a few of the above answers as examples to find out whether these can uniquely define an individual. Profession:-Doctor, engineer, teacher, Accountant, Advocate, CEO etc. All these professions need academic degrees, which require graduation process and procedures involving a time line. Most of these professions have a retirement date involved as well. If these vocations can give individuality to you, ask these questions yourself. >Who were you before you graduated? > Who will be you after retirement? (An Exservice man? Good enough to get end of service benefits but without any authority). You wont have a present day identity instead of what you were! Talents: - Singer, athlete, Artist, poet, Olympian, Indian Cricket team captain etc.

Though many talents we consider as inborn, have a duration of operation in one's life. If these can define YOU, ask these questions yourself. > Who were you before these talents had manifested? > What will you be when your age restrict you from performing your talents. Certainly your identity will be in a crisis. Possessions:- Estates, Blue chip companies, wealth, fleet, Mansions, etc. If your assets can define who you are, let us look at the pictures below, which speak better than words.

Now its obvious that abilities, eligibilities, endowments, expertise, holdings can't establish identity to define WHO YOU ARE, as all these are subject to change. Unfortunately, in the eyes of the world, the value of a person is embedded in what he is doing? tem. The implication of this paradigm shift is devastating and its domino effect is evident in every areas of our world. This has created a comparative valuing culture resulting in low self esteem, striving for identity, performance oriented recognition, toiling for affirmation, inadequacy, insecurity, discontent and the list goes on..... What is the knot to be unlaced for rescuing world from this identity crisis? As the unvaryingness of ones gender from birth, all of us have radically distinctive identity irrespective of what we do, where we live, what we own, to whom we are born to etc. As unique as the finger prints, everyone has got an incomparable identity, unfortunately, without God this can't be defined. Since man is created by God in His image and likeness, creation can't be defined without the assistance of the creator. Everything that catch sight has got designs. Plants, flocks of the air, sea lives, every living creature from the minute to the mammoths have got designs. Galaxies and universe have got designs. And among all these creations, man is superior in design and purpose which the scientific brains also agree. (Except those who believe in the evolution theory of Darwin. No one ever lived; including Darwin, has not witnessed any kind of evolution of one type to another.) After beholding these design extravagance, only nuttiness can make one think there is no designer behind these designs. Bible speaks in the book of Romans; "The basic reality of God is plain enough. Open your eyes and there it is! By taking a long and thoughtful look at what God has created, people

have always been able to see what their eyes as such can't see: eternal power, for instance, and the mystery of his divine being. So nobody has a good excuse. What happened was this: They traded the glory of God who holds the whole world in his hands for cheap figurines". Tragedy began as man exalted design ignoring the designer. Since the intent of each design is solely concealed in the designer, the one who can perfectly puzzle out the purpose of design is the designer.(Bible says its the glory of God to conceal the matter and the honor of kings is to search it out). If the creation decide to function from own understanding assuming the purpose, will be tagged malfunctioning. Imagine a Rolls Royce car using for transporting concrete like a construction vehicle. In designer's perspective, this will be a shockingly brutal abuse on the intent of the design. The beaming beauty and glory of creation is revealed when it function for the purpose it's created. Self discovery is abuse of the design while disgracing the designer. The worlds perspective of who you are, blinded mans necessity to connect with his designer to find identity and purpose to function from. Those who want to comprehend God by intellectual reasoning before getting connected with their designer, is actually excusing to get rid of accountability - an obligation to answer for the choices one makes in life. Let us look into the following bible verse from John 16:8-11 "When he (Holy Spirit) comes, he'll expose the ERROR OF the godless WORLD'S VIEW OF SIN,

righteousness, and judgment: He'll show them that their REFUSAL TO BELIEVE IN ME (Jesus) is their BASIC SIN; that righteousness comes from above, where I am with the Father, out of their sight and control; that judgment takes place as the ruler of this godless world is brought to trial and convicted. Here the writer John jotted two views of sin; one worldly and other heavenly. In heavens view there are not many sins, but only one BASIC SIN which is, unbelief in JESUS-THE DESIGNER. All other (world's view of) sins (like alcoholism, covetousness, adultery, murder, fornication, pride, selfishness etc.) are the fruits of a life disconnected from the designer JESUS. In next issue, we will continue heavens perspective of who you are and will detail two characters from bible, Moses and Paul, who discovered their true identity and purpose from their designer.
