Our Lo rd is Allah Almight y, Who c herishes and sust ains us as well as all t he wo rlds wit h His f avo rs. He is t he One Who m we wo rship, and we have no ne t o wo rship o t her t han Him.

Our religio n is Islam; t hat is t o surrender t o Allah by Tawhid (mo no t heism, i.e. t o af f irm His Oneness), submit t o Him by o bedienc e, and disso c iat e f ro m Shirk (po lyt heism) and it s men (po lyt heist s).

Our Pro phet is Muhammad, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, Ibn Abdullah Ibn Abdul-Mut t alib Ibn Hashim; and Hashim belo ngs t o t he Quraish, and t he Quraish peo ple belo ng t o t he Arabs, and t he Arabs are t he desc endant s o f Ishmael Ibn Abraham Al-Khalil, peac e be upo n t hem.

The f irst is t o enjo in t he wo rship o f Allah Alo ne, wit h Who m t here is no part ner, persist in do ing so , t ake as allies suc h as do so , and render disbelievers suc h as do no t do so .

The o t her is t o warn o f asc ribing part ners t o Allah in wo rship, be severe in do ing so , and t ake as enemies suc h as do so .

In c o nf irmat io n o f t hat , Allah Almight y says (what means): - So kno w, [O Muhammad], t hat t here is no deit y exc ept Allah [Muhammad 47:19]

- but o nly t ho se who t est if y t o t he t rut h [c an benef it ], and t hey kno w. [Az -Zukhruf 43:86]

{ } 86 : Translit erat io n: illa man shahida bialhaqqi wahum yaAAlamo o na

The Messenger o f Allah, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, said: He, who dies and he kno ws (and has f ait h in t he f ac t ) t hat t here is no deit y exc ept f o r Allah wo uld ent er Paradise. [Muslim]

It means, t here is no ne wo rt hy o f wo rship exc ept f o r Allah Almight y. Wo rship applies t o everyt hing Allah lo ves and is pleased wit h, c o nc erning apparent and hidden wo rd and deed.

2- Cert aint y (o f f ait h): t hat is, t he perf ec t kno wledge o f it , whic h is o ppo sed t o any do ubt and suspic io n.

In c o nf irmat io n o f t hat , Allah Almight y says (what means): The believers are o nly t he o nes who have believed in Allah and His Messenger and t hen do ubt no t but st rive wit h t heir pro pert ies and t heir lives in t he c ause o f Allah. It is t ho se who are t he t rut hf ul. [Al-Hujurat 49:15]

{ } 15 : Translit erat io n: Innama almumino o na allat heena amano o biAllahi waraso o lihi t humma lam yart abo o wajahado o biamwalihim waanf usihim f ee sabeeli Allahi o laika humu alssadiqo o na

The Messenger o f Allah, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, said: I t est if y t hat t here is no deit y exc ept f o r Allah, and t hat I am t he Messenger o f Allah: no servant meet s Allah wit h (f ait h in) t hem, having no do ubt in t hem but t hat he shall ent er Paradise. [Muslim]

. 3- Sinc erit y (t o Allah Alo ne) t hat is o ppo sed t o asso c iat io n (o f anyt hing wit h Allah).

- Unquest io nably, f o r Allah is t he pure religio n. [Az -Zumur 39:3]

{ } 3 : Translit erat io n: Ala lillahi alddeenu alkhalisu

- And t hey were no t c o mmanded exc ept t o wo rship Allah , [being] sinc ere t o Him in religio n, inc lining t o t rut h. [Al-Bayyina 98:5]

{ } 5 : Translit erat io n: Wama o miro o illa liyaAAbudo o Allaha mukhliseena lahu alddeena hunaf aa

The Messenger o f Allah, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, said: The luc kiest amo ng t he peo ple t o have my int erc essio n o n t he Day o f Judgment will be t he o ne who said sinc erely, f ro m t he bo t t o m o f his heart o r so ul: There is no deit y exc ept f o r Allah. [Al-Bukhari]

4- Lo ve: f o r t his t est if ic at io n and it s implic at io ns and pleasure wit h t hat .

In c o nf irmat io n o f t hat , Allah Almight y says (what means): And [yet ], amo ng t he peo ple are t ho se who t ake o t her t han Allah as equals [t o Him]. They lo ve t hem as t hey [sho uld] lo ve Allah .

{ } 165 : Translit erat io n: Wamina alnnasi man yat t akhit hu min do o ni Allahi andadan yuhibbo o nahum kahubbi Allahi waallat heena amano o ashaddu hubban lillahi

The Messenger o f Allah, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, said: Who ever po ssesses t he f o llo wing t hree qualit ies will have t he sweet ness (delight ) o f f ait h: t he o ne t o who m Allah and His Messenger bec o me dearer t han anyt hing else; who lo ves a perso n and he lo ves him o nly f o r Allah's sake; and who hat es t o revert t o disbelief as he hat es t o be t hro wn int o t he f ire (o f Hell)." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

3 : Translit erat io n: f alayaAAlamanna Allahu allat heena sadaqo o walayaAAlamanna alkat hibeena

- And t he o ne who has bro ught t he t rut h and [t hey who ] believed in it - t ho se are t he right eo us. [Az -Zumur 39:33]

{ } 33 : Translit erat io n: Waallat hee jaa bialssidqi wasaddaqa bihi o laika humu almut t aqo o na

The Messenger o f Allah, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, said: He, who dies and he t est if ies, t rut hf ully, f ro m t he bo t t o m o f his heart , t hat t here is no deit y exc ept f o r Allah, and t hat Muhammad, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, is t he Messenger o f Allah, shall ent er Paradise. 6- Co mplianc e wit h it s right s, i.e. t he o bligat o ry deeds t o be do ne wit h sinc erit y t o Allah Alo ne, and seeking His go o d pleasure.

In c o nf irmat io n o f t hat , Allah Almight y says (what means): - And ret urn [in repent anc e] t o yo ur Lo rd and submit t o Him. [Az -Zumur 39:54]

- And who ever submit s his f ac e t o Allah while he is a do er o f go o d - t hen he has grasped t he mo st t rust wo rt hy handho ld. [Luqman 31:22]

Nullif iers o f Islam

It sho uld be kno wn t o yo u, my Muslim bro t her, may Allah t eac h yo u and us, t hat t he nullif iers o f Islam are t en:

1- To asso c iat e part ners wit h Allah in wo rship. Allah Almight y says (what means): Indeed, Allah do es no t f o rgive asso c iat io n wit h Him, but He f o rgives what is less t han t hat f o r who m He wills. [An-Nisaa 4:116]

{ } 116 : Translit erat io n: Inna Allaha la yaghf iru an yushraka bihi wayaghf iru ma do o na t halika liman yashao This implies t o slaught er f o r o t hers t han Allah Almight y, like t he jinn o r t he grave.

2- To ho ld bet ween o ne and Allah Almight y int ermediaries t o invo ke, ask and rely o n.

3- Who ever neit her renders disbelievers, no r has do ubt in t he disbelief, no r mo dif ies t he do c t rine o f t he po lyt heist s, has indeed disbelieved.

4- Who ever believes t hat t he guidanc e o f o t hers t han t he Pro phet , sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, is mo re perf ec t t han his guidanc e, o r t hat t he judgement o f o t hers is bet t er t han his judgment , like t he o ne who gives pref erenc e t o t he judgment o f t he evil o nes o ver t he judgement o f t he Pro phet , sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, has indeed disbelieved.

5- Who ever hat es anyt hing bro ught by t he Messenger o f Allah, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, has indeed disbelieved, even if he ac t s upo n it .

6- Who ever ridic ules anyt hing o f t he religio n, o r o f it s reward o r punishment , is a disbeliever. In c o nf irmat io n o f t hat , Allah Almight y says (what means): Say, "Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger t hat yo u were mo c king?" Make no exc use; yo u have disbelieved af t er yo ur belief. [At -Tawba 9:65-66]

} { ( 65) 66-65 : Translit erat io n: qul abiAllahi waayat ihi waraso o lihi kunt um t ast ahz io o na (65) La t aAAt at hiro o qad kaf art um baAAda eemanikum

7- Magic : who ever do es o r appro ves it has indeed disbelieved. Allah Almight y says (what means): But t he t wo angels do no t t eac h anyo ne unless t hey say, "We are a t rial, so do no t disbelieve [by prac t ic ing magic ]." [Al-Baqara 2:102]

{102 :{ Translit erat io n: wama yuAAallimani min ahadin hat t a yaqo o la innama nahnu f it nat un f ala t akf ur

8- To bac k and help t he po lyt heist s against t he Muslims. Allah Almight y says (what means): And who ever is an ally t o t hem amo ng yo u - t hen indeed, he is [o ne] o f t hem. Indeed, Allah guides no t t he wro ngdo ing peo ple. [Al-Maida 5:51]

9- Who ever t hinks t hat it is po ssible f o r anyo ne t o leave t he o rdinanc e o f Muhammad, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, is a disbeliever.

10- To t urn away f ro m t he religio n o f Allah: neit her t o learn no r t o ac t upo n it . Allah Almight y says (what means): And who is mo re unjust t han o ne who is reminded o f t he verses o f his Lo rd; t hen he t urns away f ro m t hem? Indeed We, f ro m t he c riminals, will t ake ret ribut io n. [AsSajda 32:22]

{ } 22 : Translit erat io n: Waman at hlamu mimman t hukkira biayat i rabbihi t humma aAArada AAanha inna mina almujrimeena munt aqimo o na

It sho uld be kno wn t o yo u, my Muslim bro t her, may Allah guide yo u t o t he t rut h, t hat in all o f t ho se nullif iers, t here is no dif f erenc e bet ween t he o ne who is jo king, t he o ne who is serio us, and t he o ne who is f earf ul, unless o ne is c o erc ed.
