How to Construct Road between Cities

Methodology:
Need Identification: Number of persons, vehicles travelling, amount of trade happening, present and future traffic requirements. Analysis: Survey the area to understand the topography and terrain of the area(i.eforests, hills, valleys, rivers..etc) and issues related with building the road. Design:
Designing the road as much straight as possible with less curves and less ups and downs, and avoid passage through cities/villages so that the transportation is done is less time and more safely. Develop alternative plans like building a straight road with tunnels through hills, bridges on river and roads through the forests or else he can build a road around the hills and away from the forest. Evaluate the plan for technical aspects ,economical feasibility(shortrun and long run investments) and environment protection.

What ever may be the branch or sector and where every they work, every engineer need to work under the frame work of increasing quality, reducing cost and reduction in time, which leads to productivity resulting in value addition and wealth creation. To fit into above role one need to be continuous leaner who acquires knowledge and develop his skills.

Implementation: Implementing the design by effectively utilizing the

resources like material , machines, manpower so that project can be done more economically, in less time and with good quality.

Maintenance: Regular maintainance actively like, quality checks,

repairs ,cleaning so as to ensure the quality of the road and safety of the travellers.

Technology Challenges Ahead Speed of Industry

Supplying Clean Water Globally

The demand for fresh water is increasing. Considering the current rate of consumption and projected population growth, some two-thirds of the world will be affected by drought by the year 2050. Technology need to solve this problem through improved water purification and filtration.

Improving Health and Longevity

Humans are living longer lives, yet infectious diseases and cancer continue to kill millions annually. Because of an aging population there could be a 50% increase of new cancer cases by the year 2020. Technology need to enhance the quality of life for human beings through medical diagnostics, drug delivery and customized therapy.

Healing and Preserving the Environment

As a set of fundamental technologies that cuts across all industries, nanotech can benefit the environment in a wide variety of ways. Stronger, lighter-weight materials in transportation can reduce fuel use, nano-structured fibers reduce staining and therefore laundering, and low-cost nanosensors will make pollution monitoring affordable. In the longer term, manufacturing processes using productive nano systems should be able to build our products with little if any waste.

Maximizing Productivity of Agriculture

Pressure on the world's food sources is ever increasing while harvests have fallen short in recent years. It is anticipated that our world population will swell to 8.9 billion by the year 2050 putting even greater demands on agriculture. Precision farming, targeted pest management and the creation of high yield crops are a few nanotech solutions.

Making Information Technology Available To All

Humanity will need to cooperate as we respond to disasters and critical threats to our survival. A "planetary nervous system" fostering rapid communication and cross-cultural relationships is needed. Technology applications in electronics will increase access through reduced cost and higher performance of memory, networks, processors and components.

Enabling Space Development

Heavy demands on resources and raw materials are creating challenges on earth, whereas these items are plentiful in space. Current obstacles to developing space are cost, reliability, safety, and performance. Technology need to solve these through improved fuels, smart materials, uniforms and environments.

Need Based Technology Drivers

Growth of industries affected the global climate and environment. Before, there were not much greenhouse gases produced by human activities, but with population growth, deforestation, factory farming and Carbon dioxide emissions creates an excess of greenhouse gases (CO2, Nitrous Oxide, Methane, CFC, etc.,) in the atmosphere results in global warming. These effects can be reduced by Green Technology. Green Technology (greentech) is the application of the environmental science and green chemistry to conserve the natural environment and resources, and to reduce the negative impacts of human involvement. Sustainable development is the core of green technologies. Government, People and Industry are now committed to reduce Global warming by encouraging Green Technology to save our Planet Earth.
