Special Counsel to the Commissioner May 1996 - September 1996 Advise the Commissioner on legal matters pertaining to the operation of the department, including issues involving Criminal Law and Procedure, Labor Relations, Title VII and other areas of Law, conduct negotiations and draft contracts for the provision of goods and services, conduct sensitive investigations as directed by the Commissioner, represent the Department on behalf of the Commissioner, draft Executive Policies and Procedures for Departmental implementation, prepare correspondence and responses to inquiries from the Office of the Mayor, the offices of elected officials and various oversight agencies , manage the daily operation of the Commissioner's Office,

Supervising Probation Officer January 1995 - May 1996 Served as Executive Assistant to Chief of Field Services Unit, participated in the day-to-day management of the Field Services, including the oversight of fourteen supervising probation officers and one hundred probation officers in a city-wide field unit, including bench warrant executions and search warrant executions, absconder searches and the electronic monitoring of high risk offenders, commonly referred to as "house arrest," supervise the Court Liaison Unit for the START Electronic Monitoring Program

Probation Officer June 1988 - January 1995 co Represented the Department in both Richmond County Supreme Court and Richmond County Criminal Court prosecuting violations and presenting various administrative matters, conducted criminal/social background investigations submitted to court to assist in the sentencing process, supervised a caseload of probationers convicted of felonies and misdemeanors, served as an officer in the Field Services Unit, executed both bench warrants and search warrants, conducted field investigations for the purposes of locating and apprehending absconders from supervision, conducted felony and misdemeanor arrests incidental to the warrant investigation process, represented the Department as the Court Liaison Officer for the START Electronic Monitoring Program, recommended individuals to the Court for acceptance into the program as alternative to incarceration, prosecuted violations of probation and participating of probations and participated in the apprehension of violators/absconders.
