Shirish Deshpande

ABOUT THE ARTIST In my heart Ive always been an artist, a dreamer and have turned to music and fine art through all the phases of my life. At one point of time everything took a backstage and desire to create from the deepest recesses of the mind became all important. I started developing a skill for making fine artworks using color ball point pens as my medium. I found that I could create full color effects and full scale gradation of tone by combining the fine lines within the limited range of colors available using cross hatching rendering technique. It is very challenging to create innumerable tones by combining the limited available colors in ball point pens. I need to draw millions of lines to make my painting come alive! Portraits, Landscapes, Stylizations all rushed on to the canvas in a hurry of line and color. Im in love with this phase of my life in which I experiment with something new every time my mind desires to wander. The thirst for exploration in this unknown world has become the driving force of my present world. I hope that I can make an impact that will last.
