Wednesday, 7th August: TRAINSPOTTING (1996) Dir. Danny Boyle Choose life.
Constantly topping top 10 film charts, Trainspotting represents one of British cinemas finest moments, despite its modest budget. Renton (Ewan McGregor) is drowning in the Edinburgh heroin subculture during the 80s. Painful realism juxtaposed with darkly comedic surreal sequences highlights his choice between drug addicted spoverty and the chance of a different life.

Wednesday, 14th August : THE NOTEBOOK (2004) Dir. Nick Cassavettes The first rule of fight club: Dont Talk about Fight Club
Ladies so many of you asked for Ryan Gosling, we couldnt resist screening this devastating love story. Starring Gosling alongside Rachel McAdams as the most adorable couple ever seen on screen, The Notebook is an epic tale of love that lasts a lifetime. Kleenex at the ready please, ladies!

Wednesday, 21st August: INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS (2009) Dir. Quentin Tarantino


Tells the fictional alternate history story of two plots to assassinate Nazi Germanys political leadership. With a multi award winning performance from the mighty Christoph Waltz, and full of blood and guts, this is Tarantino at his gory best.

Gather round to meet Brian Flanaghan (aka Tom Cruise) - a young and ambitious dreamer, who sets his sights on making millions of dollars on Wall Street, but ends up cocktail bartending (Hey, its happened to the best, Tom!). Cruises moves behind the bar make him pretty much our hero - Once voted the worlds most enjoyable bad movie but what do the critics know, anyway? We love it! 80s fun.

Based on Doris Kearns Goodwins biography, Lincoln follows the final four months of Lincolns Life and his efforts to have the Thirteenth amendment of the US Constitution passed. Swept the boards at last years award ceremony, with stunning performances from Daniel Day-Lewis and Sally Ann Field. Wednesday, 18th September: LEON (1994) Dir. Luc Besson English language French film that oozes edgy, raw style. A young (and supremely talented) Natalie Portman stars in her feature debut as Mathilde, a 12 year old girl who is taken in by a hit man after her family is murdered. She vows to learn how to clean in order to seek revenge on her familys killers. Wednesday, 25th September : MOULIN ROUGE! (2001) Dir. Baz Luhrmann Baz Luhrmanns musical epic where a poet falls for a beautiful courtesan with drastic consequences theatrical, opulent, over-the-top splendour with a good mix of reworked modern pop thrown in for good measure. Who knew Ewan MacGregor could sing so well?!
