General Stuff

Clan-leaders can register their clan for the OFP-DR event by using the Join/Leave
function under the clan-settings box on the right side of the league-website.

Every joined clan has accepted the general league rules.

1.1 League settings

The following points list all specific configurations and settings of the CTF-ladder.

1.1.1 Game mode

Capture The Flag - CTF

1.1.2 Number of players

Every match should be played as 5 on 5. If both teams accept more players at each
side, it’s allowed as well. But if you agree to more players, then it should be the
same number from the start to end of the match.

1.1.3 Ladder mode

The open ladder will be started as soon as at least 8 teams have registered to the
event.

1.1.4 Ladder rules

A ladder overview can be viewed on the league homepage

Match winners gain 3 ladder points, losers get no ladder points. In a draw, both
teams get one ladder-point.

1.1.5 Special rules

Veteran mode must be activated.

1.2.1 Server settings

All match servers must have an entry password. Furthermore the following settings
have to be added in the server config file:
1.2.2 Game version

The latest game version (patch) must be in use on every client, as well as on the
match server.

1.2.3 Modifications

1.4 Extra Software

All known communication tools can be used, e.g.: Teamspeak, Ventrilo, a.s.o.
OFP-DR ingame VoN must not be used.

1.4.2 Anti Cheat

No information about an anti cheat tool for OFP-DR.

2. Arrangement

2.1 Clan leaders duties

Every clan needs to have a registered clan leader at the league homepage. He can
arrange as many matches as the team is able to play.
All clan leaders must have an Instant Messenger and Email address (addresses
provided in their profile), so that all arrangements between two teams can be made
easily.

2.2 Match comments

Matches can be arranged via the league forum. Only clan leaders may write at the
match comments. If a match is fixed via Instant Messenger, please report all fixtures
(date, number of players, game server address, map) within the match comments.
The challenged team chooses the map to be played on.

As soon as both teams reported an ‘OK’ in the match comments, we have a valid
match.

2.3 Matchdate

Every team may play as many matches as it likes, but it must be at least one match
every 4 weeks (28 days). This period starts by the time a team is registered for the
event and after every finished match.
Teams which are not able to play one match within 4 weeks will be removed from
the ladder.

2.4 Open matches

Upcoming matches can be found at the league homepage (link).

2.5 etc.

3. Match

3.1 'Meet and greet'

Both teams must meet on the chosen server at the arranged date, that was fixed in
the match comments.

Each team must be completely connected to the game sever, latest 15 minutes
after the arranged time.
If a team does not show up after the 15 minutes, an ladder or game-admin has to
be contacted and a screenshot of the players on the server has to be taken.
The match must start latest after 15 minutes from the arranged time.

The guest team has side choice.

3.2 Match rules

3.2.1 Round time

A match round takes 30 minutes.

Five minutes break between the rounds; the teams can agree on other break times.

3.2.2 Missions

Only official league-versions of the missions are valid for league-matches

Missionpool:
ctf_...

3.2.3 Game specific rules

Respawn raping is strictly prohibited.

Any kind of unfair behaviour (e.g. bug using, flaming, intentional disconnects, etc.)
is forbidden, too, and will cause punishments in case of cogently evidences.
Those cases must be reported to the admins, who will take action if the proof of
unfair behaviour is given.

3.2.4 'How to win a match round'

The team that has captured the most flags, wins the round. If both teams have the
same number of captured flags, flagtouches (short-time possession of the enemy
flag) count. If it’s tied as well, the round counts as DRAW. Frags can’t be taken into
calculation, because player dis-/reconnects can create incorrect results.

3.3 Screenshots

Both teams have to make screenshots of the final result each round, which must
include the complete result (flag captures and flagtouches).
Screenshots are needed to report the match result at the league homepage.

3.4 'Possible problems'

3.4.1 Too few players

If a team has too few players for the match, a new match date has to be found, or
the teams agree to play with less players.

If a team has too few players at an arranged match date periodically, the team will
be removed from the ladder.

3.4.2 Player disconnects

If a player disconnects within the first 5 minutes from missionstart, the server admin
must restart the round with a reassign.
If a player disconnects after the first 5 minutes, he can be substituted with a
replacement player. (see 3.4.5 Replacements)

3.4.3 Desync

If a player gets desync longer than 2 minutes, he has to disconnect or has to get
kicked from the server.
If a player gets desync higher than 1000, he has to disconnect or has to get kicked
from the server.
A replacement can take his slot. (see 3.4.5 Replacements)

3.4.4 Ping problems

If a player's ping is higher than 250ms, he will not be allowed to take part in a
league-match.
If a player's ping is 'jumping' all the time (between e.g. 20ms and 500ms), he will
not be allowed to take part in a league-match too.
A replacement can take his slot. (see 3.4.5 Replacements)

3.4.5 Replacements

If a player has to disconnect within a league-match, he can be substituted with a

replacement player. This player must be a member of the clan/team taking part in
the league-match. It’s not allowed to play with 'mercenaries' (players from other
clans, e.g. partners).

3.4.6 Server crash

If a server crashes within the first 5 minutes, the match has to be restarted.
If a server crashes after the first 5 minutes (or more than once), the match has to
be replayed on another server.

4. Result

The match winner is the team that has at least decided one round and played the
other as a draw.

4.1 Possible results

Examples (Team A vs Team B):

Round 1: 2:2 flag captures (3:3 flagtouches) - DRAW

Round 2: 3:1 flag captures (4:2 flagtouches) – WIN Team A
Result: Team A wins (3 : 0 points)

Round 1: 2:2 flag captures (3:4 flagtouches) – WIN Team B

Round 2: 0:1 flag captures (4:1 flagtouches) – WIN Team B
Result: Team B wins (0 : 3 points)

Round 1: 3:0 flag captures (3:6 flagtouches) – WIN Team A

Round 2: 0:1 flag captures (4:1 flagtouches) – WIN Team B
Result: Draw (1 : 1 points)

4.2 Report match result

The clan leader of the winning team has to submit the match results in the match
comments.
The clan leader of the loosing team has to accept the match results, or has to
modify them, if they are in error.

Screenshots of the results must be posted in the match comments.

The admins will confirm the match result, when the match results have been
confirmed by both teams.

4.3 Penalties

Admins will penalize players or teams for breaching the league rules.
