to ibmaths.com School Subscrip3on

You have 3 levels of log in for schools: School Admin, Teacher or Student. There is a 4th log in for Individual, this is for students and teachers who do not have school access. The ibmaths.com app covers all learning outcomes for Studies, Standard Level, and Higher Level (Core). There are, at the Eme of going to press, about 240 lessons. Each lesson takes 30 - 60 minutes to complete depending on the content. Each lesson has an aLached homework which is only accessible with a School SubscripEon. Some lessons are repeated, especially with SL and HL, although you may nd that the HL work is oOen in more depth in certain parts. Each homework has at least 5 quesEons (oOen longer). Each quesEon has 4 variants, so students will receive dierent quesEons to their peers. Students are able to re-take homework to improve marks, and will most likely receive dierent quesEons. The site is ever evolving, and future development this academic year will be to add more Presumed Knowledge lessons and downloadable worksheets.

Once you have signed in as school admin you can do only two things from the Dashboard: change your details (and update payments) and add teachers.

School details can be changed, including your password. You can also extend your school membership by making a direct credit card or Paypal payment. It is important to keep the contact details up to date for correspondence, billing, and invoices in the future.

You must add teachers in order to view the lessons, create classes and set homework.

Teachers will be able to change their own passwords as soon as their login has been set by the School Admin account.

Teacher
Each teacher will need to log in through the teacher portal.

Teachers will need to use the same school id, the teacher username created by the School Admin and their own password. Teachers will iniEally see a Dashboard. Teachers can add classes, add students, set and review homework, and change their own details.

Create a Class By clicking on Classes and then Add New Class, teachers will be able to create as many classes as they wish. It is important to note the Class Password as this will be required for Students to log in.

You can now view your class and manage students in it.

Add and Manage students Once a teacher has created a class, students can be added to the class.

Students can be added individually or uploaded as a class via a .csv le. Your .csv le must be created in Excel or Numbers (or similar). You must label 3 headings: name, dob, username You can not leave any elds blank, so even a date of birth must be given.

Ensure your le is saved as a .csv le, not as an Excel document. Upload your le using the instrucEons on the screen. You should now see your full class list.

You can add more classes, or add students individually. Viewing lessons You can view lessons by choosing the content you want from Courses, and following the direcEons on the screen.

Each lesson is in Flash and you will need to have access to the internet. None of the content is savable. Teachers can view lessons for class demonstraEons or can allow students to work through at their own pace in an ICT lab or at home. There is more informaEon on viewing lessons shown below in Student log in.

Homework
Homework can only be done by students when a teacher assigns it, although students can review any lesson at any Eme. A homework will be assigned to virtually all lessons, with a couple of excepEons. Each homework quesEon has 4 variants, and students are able to review their homework and re-take the work. The variants are randomly set, so quesEons could reappear or the student could get a dierent quesEon. The order of quesEons is random, so they do not become progressively harder. Answers are either numerical;

Or mulEple choice, where mathemaEcal notaEon or sentence is required;

It is very important that the instrucEons are followed, parEcularly when answering correct to 3 signicant gures or integers. Very important If the answer asks for 3 signicant gures, but there are only 2 s.f, the nal zero must be entered. For example 0.450095 must be entered as 0.450. Most quesEons and answers should be straighborward. Homework Review A student is able to review, and take homework again. Teachers can review homework, as shown above.
