PRAYER LIST
FIRST CHURCH: We join George and Effie Holthof in celebrating 60 years of marriage this past Wednesday. May God surround you and continue to bless you with his special care and grace. Herman Singor remains in hospital, though this past week Thursday he went to London to have his stints removed. Annie Heinis remains in hospital for therapy. Carol Herder has been removed from Intensive Care to Progressive Care, though doctors have not yet determined the cause of the infection and the high blood count. Please pray for our sick and shut-ins, and those who may be recuperating at home. Happy birthday to Mrs. Annie Bisschop who is turning 73 on the 17th. Have a blessed day! GRACE CHURCH: We offer our Christian sympathy to Mrs. Edith VanderEnde and the extended VanderEnde famiy with the passing of Mr. John VanderEnde on Friday. As of the printing of the Common Insert, the expectation is that the funeral will be on Monday. We welcome Danielle Brouwer back from Ghana following three months of mission involvement there, and look forward to hearing more about her work in that context! Congratulations to Stefanie and Andrew DeBoer who were united in marriage last Saturday! We wish you God`s richest blessings. We continue to pray for Hank and Shena DeBoers granddaughter Carlene as she remains in the hospital and doctors seek to find the right treatment for her paralysis. Happy Birthday to Mrs. Margaret Janssens on August 13, and to Mrs. Ann Dieleman on August 14. May you have a blessed day! CALVARY CHURCH: Lena Vandenberg died Monday night of this week. Our prayers are for husband Jerry and the family. We lift up others who experience absence as a daily reality - John and Sherri Pilon and family after the passing of John's mom last week - and others who may be alone a long time or a short time. We wish to remind everyone of Brittany Dieleman and Mitch Visser's wedding which will be held on Saturday, August 17 at 3:00 pm in the Grace Christian Reformed Church.
