SAMCO Equiseal Dynamic Seal pumps are designed to reduce stuffing box sealing problems normally found with packing or conventional mechanical seals. Equiseal Dynamic Seals are used for severe corrosive and abrasive sealing applications in the chemical, petro-chemical, pulp and paper, brewing, food and other process industries. No sealing or flushing liquid required for majority of applications. For extremely severe applications, a special flushing protection with differential over suction pressure 15 kpa and a small amount of clear liquid (less than 0,4 l/min) guarantees long expeller and static seal life. Simple operation The Equiseal Dynamic Seal uses an auxiliary impeller in the stuffing box. As pumped liquid enters the Equiseal Dynamic Seal stuffing box cavity, it is opposed by centrifugal forces, generated by the auxiliary impeller, thus preventing leakage when applied correctly. Static sealing When the pump is not in operation, a replaceable sealing ring or disc acts to retard external leakage along the shaft. No critical operating clearances are required for proper operation of the Equiseal Dynamic Seal. Packing is eliminated thus greatly reducing stuffing box maintenance. Mechanical shaft seals with finely lapped faces and expensive replacement components are no longer required. All pumps with packing or mechanical seals can be converted readily to Equiseal Dynamic Seal in the field. Capability Manufactured in 1, 2, or 3 stage designs which balance out positive suction heads over a wide range. Available in various pump sizes with the same Equiseal Dynamic Seal parts in each frame group. CSO Utilizes ANSI B73.1 standards. Retains the advantages of the STANDARDS PUMP with back pull-out, fully open impeller, top centre-line discharge and long bearing life. Rear pull-out design Retains the advantages of the standard pump with back pull-out. Fewer crafts are required to service pump. Dynamic seal stuff box. Top half illustrates operating condition. Lower half illustrates static condition. Metallurgy Pump wet-ends are available in any machinable metal, normally suited to specific applications.
