Conceptual Framework

The conceptual framework discussed the flow of the study to be taken. The study used the systems approach. The system of three frames is composed of input which went through the process or operation and emerged as the output.

INPUT What are the employee benefits that the company provides for the following: Rank and file employees; Supervisory employees; Managerial employees; and Top level managemen t? What are the policies imposed upon implementation of such benefits? What are the bases in determining the benefits applicable for each employee? Who are responsible for the implementation of the employee benefits?

OUTPUT Policy recommendation for: Improvement of the implementatio n of the accounting procedure Enhancement of the employee benefit plan provided by the company for the employees Advancement of policies and procedures to yield better performance in the management of employee benefits

What is the system of the company in the management of employee benefits? How does the company allocate funds to finance these employee benefits? Why is there a need for the company to formulate an employee benefit plan? What accounting procedures does the company apply in managing the employee benefits?

The input contains the leading variables regarding the management policies and procedures in the implementation of employee benefits. It includes the benefits provided by the company to the rank and file employees, supervisory employees, managerial employees and top level management; the policies imposed upon the implementation of such benefits; the bases in the determination of benefits applicable to each employee; the persons responsible for the management of the employee benefits; the source of fund to finance the employee benefit plan granted to the employees and the accounting procedure applicable in computing for employee benefits. In order to gather the necessary information, the processes used by the researchers in the study are observation, documentary research and

unstructured interview. Interview was conducted in order to gather information which is necessary to the study. The third frame is the output. It contains policy recommendations that the researchers suggested for the improvement of the implementation of the companys accounting procedure in line with the revision of IAS 19 (Accounting for Employee Benefits), Enhancement of the employee benefit plan provided by the company for the employees and advancement of policies and procedures to yield better performance in the management of employee benefits.
