Manufacturer hazemag Capacity 2000tph Components of the crusher Apron feeder: This consist of the lamella plate, the

flight and the chain system. The apron feeder convey material directly from the hopper through a slide plate and then to the crushing chamber. Hopper: Temporary bucket for material that is being fed to the crusher. In order to avoid damage to the apron feeder, the hopper is fed with the fine material such as laterite to serves as cushion(bed) for heavy limestone

Chain scraper
This return fine material that escape from the apron feeder into a duct and directly to the discharge chute to the conveyor belt

Blow bar:
These serves as the striking element attached to the rotor. The blow bar is made up of steel reinforced with manganese. Manganese gives the blow bar its high resistance to wear. The blow bars are 6 in nos with an average weight of 1.6- 1.7 tons. A pair of the blowbars have equal weight The blow bars attached to the rotors such that equal weight blow bars are attached opposite to each other so as to balance the weight of the rotor

Principle of operation

Principle of operation of the Impact crusher

As material(Limestone) are being dumped into the hopper, it moves slowly by the aid of the apron feeder at a set speed to the crushing cavity. The material moves through the sliding plate then into the crushing chamber.

In the crushing cavity, the blow bar area hit the limestone by throwing it to the front impact, this reduce the size of the material and returned back to the blow bar which in turn throw it to the rear impact, this further reduce the size of the material and move to the grinding part; the size is further reduced in the upper grinding part then to the lower grinding part and subsequently, the material is discharged to a discharged chute and then to a belt conveyor. Additive crusher This is a roll crusher but it is designed to handle light and softer material. the output of the crusher converge with the limestone material (mixed grade/high grade as the case amaybe) which is then transported. Other process and operation from Line 3 applies aside from the crushing aspect.

Auxillary System Bag Filter A dust collector(bag filter) is provided in the system for ensuring dust free operation and also all discharge chute are connected by a duct to the collector. The dust are collected into the bags.compressed gas is passed through the bags to discharge the dust and are conveyed by the action of a screw conveyor through a slide gate and then back to conveyor belt so that there is no loss of material.

BLASTING Blasting is performed to break limestone so that it may be quarried for processing in an aggregate production operation, or to excavate a right of way. This is accomplished by discharging an explosive that has either been placed in an unconfined manner. There are two types of energy released when high explosives are detonated, shock and gas. Types of explosive ANFO Ammonium nitrate and Fuel Oil Slurries

Basic Blasting operation.

After holes have been drilled in a pattern that will suit effective rock production, the holes are then charged with primers(booster) and later with a known quantity of explosives to be used. The choice of explosive is dependent on the condition of the hole; ANFO is normally used for a dry hole and slurry explosives used for wet holes. The hole is then filled with earth material preferably the material from the drill. These holes are connected to each other by the Non electric detonator. This detonator are timed delay so that effective firing sequence is achieved. The blasting process is initiated by the connecting an electric detonator to a non electric detonator which initiate the blasting process. Powder Factor

Powder Factor - The ratio between the weight of explosives detonated and volume of material blasted, usually defined in pounds per cubic yard. This can be calculated on the basis per hole or entire blast.
