Testimonials in IMME 2012

I am glad that the Confederation of Indian Industry in association with Ministries of Mines and Coal is organizing the Global Mining Summit from 5 6 December 2012 concurrently with their International Mining and Machinery Exhibition scheduled from 5 8 December 2012 at the Salt lake Stadium Grounds, Kolkata. I hope that the Global Mining Summit 2012 will focus on exploration, technology and policy frameworks and IMME 2012 also will showcase latest technologies for the sector. Partha Chatterjee Minister-In-Charge, Commerce & Industry, IT, PE & IR and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of West Bengal It is always a pleasure and privilege to visit IMME as it provides a strong platform for the mining community across the world. The exhibition showcases latest technologies. We thank CII for organizing this great event that gives us fresh ideas. Most importantly, IMME is something that always exudes positive values. S K Srivastava Coal Secretary, Government of India

IMME 2012 is very apt and timely for the country, particularly for the Eastern Region where most of the mining and related activities are done. This is the region where most of the coal available in the country is found. So are various stakeholders, producers, contractors and users. Manufacturers from across the world take part in IMME even though what we see on display here is only a limited version of their products. But in term of magnitude, quality and opportunities, the importance of IMME is enormous. I am sure with such exercise, the mining sector in India will blossom and contribute more to the GDP. S Narsing Rao Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Coal India Limited I am delighted that the United States is the Partner Country for the 11th International Mining and Machinery Exhibition (IMME), the largest trade fair dedicated to the mining industry in India. Twenty U.S. exhibitors are participating in IMME this year- both through pavilion space and catalog exhibit. Eight of the exhibitors are new-to-market. U.S. exhibitors have high expectations for success from this event, and based on prior experience, this exhibition will be a big boost to their efforts to participate in the Indian mining sector market. Earlier this year, the U.S. Commercial Service Kolkata led a group of seventy Indian delegates to the MINExpo Show in Las Vegas. The overwhelming participation from both private and public sector mining companies in the delegation is a testimony to India's emergence as world's leading player in the mining industry. I am certain the IMME will continue to provide a robust platform for international exhibitors and Indian buyers to know each other. I wish the event every success. Dean R. Thompson U. S. Consul General in Kolkala The event has given a great exposure to new innovations, new initiatives and prospective partners which can drive the Namibian Mining sector. Jakova Katuamba Commercial Counsellor High Commission of the Republic of Namibia in India

I am delighted that a delegation of ten British companies, led by the Association of British Mining Equipment Companies (ABMEC), and several large UK mining equipment manufacturers, are taking part in IMME 2012. India and the UK have well established links in the mining sector and British companies are keen to deepen the relationship through their participation in this exhibition and explore building on existing partnerships. I would like to wish CII, all the co-hosts, all exhibitors and visitors a very successful time at IMME 2012. Sanjay Wadvani OBE British Deputy High Commissioner, Eastern India

Global integration is a key purpose of the Summit. We have an international buyer-seller meet as part of the program, and I am sure that all our friends will greatly benefit from this. India occupies top slots in many minerals, and is a major player in the global mining sector. In addition, our own high growth imperatives make India a promising market for global mining sector. Indian companies have been actively seeking partnerships in mineral sectors of other countries, and thus the two-way relationship is strengthening. V K Arora Chairman, CII Mining & Construction Equipment Division

India has unmatched business opportunities to offer to the global market. Indias mining sector contribution can be enhanced using platforms like the IMME & the Global Mining Summit that can be used as a launch pad for new and innovative technologies thus enhancing business prospects manifold. Rajive Kaul Past President & Chairman, Trade Fiar, CII

We deal in vehicles that are used in mining activities. In fact this is our fourth participation in IMME. We are very much glad to be part of this global event. We look forward to it because it greatly helps in our business development and maintain relationships with our clients. Yes, there is a slowdown now, but I am sure we will be able to sort things out soon. Anirudh Bhuwalka Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, AMW

We have been taking part in IMME ever since our company was founded in 2008. Our experiences have been very good. The kind of services we get, the kind of knowledge we gather, the quality of people we interact with are simply top class. At the same time it is a great opportunity for us to showcase the quality of our own products to the mining community. Thank you CII for organising IMME. A Bandyopadhyay President, CDE
