Al-Qaida and its project to establish an Islamic emirate and cleansing Kurds Al-Qaeda is a islamist Salafist organization they have attacked civilian and military targets in various countries, most notably they were behind the Sept. 11 attacks in 2001. Some of the techniques used by the Al-Qaida includes suicide attacks and simultaneous bombings. The ruthless terrorism employed by the Al-Qaida all over the world has now come to the Kurdish areas in Syria and it goes by different names such as Jabhat Al Nusra and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. These two are major Al-Qaida groups in Syria but there are other smaller such as "Allah is the greatest, The Prophets grandchildren, the banner of monotheism, the Farouk Brigades and so on. The Kurdish people in Syria have overwhelmingly proven hostile to ideologies and rhetoric employed by the Al-Qaida and for this reason many have been killed or displaced from their homes. The Al-Qaida has a plan to create an Islamic emirate in the North of Syria, in the Kurdish parts of Syria along the Turkish border which seems to be supporting them and along the border with Iraq. Jabhat Al Nusra entered Syria through Turkey in late 2012 and early 2013 via the bordergate in Tel Abyad (Gir Sp) and via the Iraqi border in Tel Kochar which is borders to the Sunni-dominated parts of Iraq. There are reasons to believe, and some facts do indeed indicate, that some of the Al-Qaeda leaders presently active in Northern Syria have been released by the Syrian regime in an attempt to stifle the relative stability of the Kurdish parts of Syria. In 9/11/2012 the Turkish border gate to Ras Al Ayn (Ser Kaniy) was opened and armed groups were allowed in to the city to start a war called, the pretext expressed by these groups was to free Ras Al Ayn from the Baath regime. At that time Kurdish forces had already liberated parts of the city without casualties, and when these groups came we were keen to build good relations with those who came as the liberators of the city. However it was not long before these groups started to pursue criminal and terrorist interests, they tried to implement salafist ideas and demanded of people to commit to arbitrary Islamic law. For the sake of preserving human lives we tried to have agreements with them, but they did not accept. They killed Abed Khalil, our negotiator and they attacked and killed several citizens they also regularly raped Kurdish and Christian women.

These groups began to impose Islamic law, a Islamic interpretation of hardline salafist influenced by Ibn Taymiyyah and al-Qaeda ideology Continues attempts were made to calm the situation in order to avoid war, and in the third war the Kurdish forces had an agreement with the military council of the city of Hasakah to have a cease-fire and this came with the blessing of the Syrian oppositions National council . Under this agreement the withdrawal of all foreign forces from the city was decided. It was the formation of a joint council represented by all components of the city. A few days after the agreement a section of these groups pulled backed from the city and the rest united under the banner of Jabhat Al Nusra and remained inside the city in the neighborhood located on the border gate with Turkey. Kurdish forces avoided interference and taking them out of the neighborhood in anticipation of unsatisfactory reactions on the part of the Turkish state. During this period, Jabhat Al Nusra evacuated the battalion "martyr Saddam Hussein," which later changed its name to "Battalion Allahu Akbar" and followed Jabhat Alnusra. At the beginning of June 2013 Saddam Hussein's battalion attacked the city checkpoint of Ras al-Ayn and killed two members of the security forces and desecrated their corpses. Parallel to this Al Qaida announced an alliance between Jabhat Al Nusra and the State of Islam in Iraq. During this period, Jabhat Al Nusra activities escalated in the region and began to oppress and force women to wear the veil by force. They also began clashing occasionally with Kurdish forces in different areas. The groups focused their activities in the oil cities of Rimelan, Maabda, Tel Kochar, Jawadiah where they entered some of the villages in these areas and emptied villages in order to expand their area of influence along the Iraqi border. During this period, the Kurdish forces were forced to defend Kurdish areas and to prevent forces of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria to get forward to the north to the Kurdish areas and the oil-rich areas. In the meantime, the Islamic state of Iraq and Syria assumed control on a number of oil fields in the region near to Alyarobiah and countryside of Deir ez-Zor . They began selling a section of the oil extracted to the regime of Bashar al-Assad and evasion other quantity through informal channels to Turkey via Tel Abyad border gate which is under the control of the Islamic state. Turks were not disturbed by this as long as the Islamic state fought stability in the Kurdish areas and escaped crude oil to companies in Turkey. On the contrary, a lot of media reports in the newspapers of the opposition to Erdogan's government in Turkey talked about support provided by the government of the Justice and Development party to terrorist groups in Turkey, BBC Turkish went further and published the report of a photographer and documented laboratories manufacturing chemical weapons in Turkey belonging to these groups. In its last report this month French newspaper Le Figaro published an article
which reported that in the second week of July 2013 about 1,500 fighters entered Syria via Turkey. The newspaper added that of the 1500 fighters entering 400 were Afghan and Pakistani citizens and 250 Libyans. Kurdish forces proved these allegations to be corrected and arrested fighters with documents proving that the Mujahideen of al-Qaeda had accessed to Kurdish areas via the Turkish border. They also seized documents of the Mujahideen from Arab and Islamic countries and a U.S. passport and three Turkish personal cards - attached at the bottom - as all these Mujahideen has documents proving staying varying periods in Turkey. Kurdish forces also arrested three Mujahideen of al-Qaeda coming from the Kurdistan region of Iraq and entered to the Kurdish areas with the help of Turkey. Turkey is one of the largest countries that provide facilities and logistical support to the Syrian opposition from holding arms deals on their land and providing logistical support for the transfer of these weapons to Syria. Kurdish media as well as international newspapers have talked about tanks being transferred by Turkey to these groups by train that crosses over the border area. The most recently published news was by Rudaw channel which reported witnesses and activists saying that about six tanks had entered from Turkey to Tel Abyad after the clashes began with Kurdish forces in the city. Tel Abyad (Kurdish: Gere Buzan or Gere Spi) has a population of about 100,000. 25,000 fighters are currently in the city which are part of about 75 armed group that adhere to the ideology and organization of the State of Iraq and Syria and Jabhat Al Nusra. These groups are from time to time abducting and killing citizens, as proven by the below links. Since the beginning of the arrival of Jabhat Al Nusra in Syria and before it when it went under the name of"Al Omma brigade" these groups have oppressed and tyrannized the Kurds of the city. All of the kidnappings, intimidations and tortures were carried out targeted Kurds specifically. The Al Omma brigade kidnapped four civilian Kurds coming from Qamishlo and tortured them in November 20, 2012 and then made propaganda of this slaughter as a way of spreading fear and terror among the people. 19,July,2013 clashes erupted and the State of Islam kidnapped five young Kurds from the village of Ain Albat which belong to Koban (Ain Arab) in the border gate with Turkey, and returned them abused, tortured and humiliated. On the same day in which the clashes occurred, Abu Musad the Jabhat Al Nusra leader was arrested in Yabsia village while carrying out a operation to occupy the village. After failing to take control of Ras al Ayn they turned their focus instead to Til Ebyed.
Despite all attempts with the military council in the city , Kurdish forces could not avoid war in the city, and clashes started at the early hours of the evening of 20 July. Islamic state of Iraq and Syria had completed preparations for war and mobilized all its efforts in Tel Abyad, and the first battalions allied with them reached to the city within the first hour of the clashes. The Islamic state feel they lost control of much of the military points during the first night of clashes with Kurdish forces and after leader Abu Musab was arrested by Kurdish forces. they started kidnapping the people in Tel Abyad and the surrounding villages. On July 21 at 7:00 the Islamic State announced control over Kurdish neighborhoods and urged the Kurds all Kurds - to leave the city immediately or "they would suffer a difficult situation". Many Kurds left their homes leaving their property. Those who stayed suffered from fear of kidnappings, more than 500 civilians Kurd were abducted and some of them have been released and some of them was used as shields in clashes. In order to free the abducted civilians, Kurdish forces released the leader Abu Musab in exchange for 300 kidnapped civilians. About 250 civilians have still not been released. On the same day, the Islamic State started bombing Kurdish villages with heavy shelling by tanks, artillery and mortars. They bombed the villages Koprlk, Tel Fender, Kor Hesso, Sokaria, Tel Khodar and they burned Kor Hesso and kidnapped civilians who remained in these villages, they also burned the crop stored in these villages. what is the target of this State ? Why this escalation against the Kurds? Since the beginning of the revolution the radical Islamic organizations, led by al-Qaeda has avoided work on the front lines with the regime and turned to spread its ideas in the rural areas. After the assassination of the crisis cell in Damascus on July 18, 2012 the regime lost control of the border areas. the organizations and militant Islamism benefited from the vacuum left by the regime and the weakness of the opposition and began to dominate one city after the other. The first of these areas and most strategic for al-Qaeda was Albukmal city, Alyarobiah and afterwards the city of Ras Al-Ain and Tel Abyadl. These four cities opened to them financing channels which was not available for the opposition. they began to sell extracted oil from the countryside of Deir al-Zour to regime or to Turkish companies through unofficial means and got arms and Mujahideen with these fundings. Al Nusra and the state of Iraq and Syria succeeded to impose Islamic control with an iron fist on Raqqa city. With the influx of Mujahedeen from outside Syria and the growth of oil wealth and increased arms the Islamic state began to dominate other areas in Syria, most recently Jarablos, killing a number of the elders of Alshiyokh clan- the biggest clans in Jarablos - and denied some of them to Turkey and seized control on the border city 'Jarablos'. Then announced that they would implement the islamic state of iraq
and Syria with the first days of Eid al-Fitr this year. Documented in the bottom. Islamic state developed its strategy during this period to impose its control on other areas and expand the areas under its control. They wanted to expand to northern areas near to Rmelan and Ma'abda and Jawadiah and Tel Kochar. They also planned to expand its borders with Turkey the neighboring country by expanding their areas
from Ras Al Ain to Ezaz city. Finally, Policy makers around the world can not turn a blind eye to these groups. Western societies have long suffered from the terrorism of these groups and can not accept the organizations which promote terrorism and havoc. More importantly the Kurdish people which are secular will not accept establishment of a caliphate state on its own land and will be against this state by all legitimate means possible.
