Procedure of Admission to B. Ed.

Course Session 2013-14

The students are advised to follow the following steps: Step-1 REGISTRATION PROCEDURE 1. Open www.punjabiuniversity.ac.in/bed2013 2. Click on the link Submit Application Form. Generate Pay-in-slip and deposit the Registration-cum-Counseling Fee at any branch of State Bank of Patiala. 3. To fill/edit the basic information/choice filling, note down carefully User id (printed on the Pay-in slip) and Password filled by you. Please do not share your user id and password with anyone 4. After depositing the fee, fill the Application Form Online using your user id and password. (Before filling the form, please ensure that you have read and understood the eligibility criteria for the category claimed and subject combinations) 5. Candidates must submit their original pay-in-slip alongwith downloaded Online Application Form to Online Counselling Cell for Admission to B Ed Course (2013-14), University Computer Centre, Punjabi University, Patiala personally or by post by 03 July, 2013. Step-2 Edit your Application Form The registered candidates can edit some selected fields filled by them in the Application Form upto the last date of registration using user id and password. Be sure that stream choice is not editable. Step-3 Print the Form Registered candidates can print their application forms using User Id and Password. Step-4 Document Verification and Fees Submission Report at allotted College for Document Verifications and Fees Submission as per the schedule displayed on the website.

Some other Important Points: 1. It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that correct information is provided when the on-line form is filled. Any incorrect information will lead to disqualification. 2. In counselling, only the major subject would be allotted by the University. The minor subject would be allotted by the college. Allocation of seat does not mean confirmation of admission. The admission will be confirmed by the college concerned after checking and verification of documents. 3. The candidates seeking benefits of 5% marks for rural area must ensure that the certificates of 8th and 10th class passed from rural area school issued by the head of the school should be duly signed by the D.E.O (by the concerned Sarpanch in case of School affiliated to CBSE/ICSE). Seats up to 70% of sanctioned intake at Malwa Central College of Education for Women, Ludhiana shall be reserved for rural women candidates who are bonafide residents of Punjab State. The candidate must fulfil the stipulated criteria for reservation for Rural Women Candidates. 4. Checking of final certificates of the students allocated to the college would be the responsibility of the college. 5. Every College is having a Help Desk for the convenience of interested candidates. The Help Desk of respective Colleges is providing guidance on subject combinations and filling up of Admission Forms etc. 6. Read the procedure outlined by the Admission Committee for Online Counseling under the link Information for Candidates/B. Ed. Colleges/Mode of Admission. 7. The candidates shall deposit half of the fee at the time of admission with the college in which they are admitted and remaining fee in December or thereafter. College will submit an affidavit to this effect to the affiliating University and DPI (Colleges) Punjab. 8. After completion of counselling the admission committee will take decision about filling of unfilled seats. The method proposed would be in light of the decisions taken by the Punjab and Haryana High Court regarding C.W.P. No.19518 dated 14.12.2009. 9. The students should themselves hold responsible for filling the online registration form and making the major subject choice on their own behalf, because it is the sole responsibility of the students. Hence, it is recommended that the students may proceed to the process of online registration at their

own level. However, they can take the help from the Help Desks established by the institutions for the convenience of the students. The institutions will not be held responsible for any online activity done by the students.
