This week we are learning:

Circle Time Review
This week we will start our speaking and listening review for our end of term test. We will be asking each other questions like: Whats your name? What animal do you like? What color dont you like? How old are you? What can you see? We will also begin a more general review of all the subjects covered so far in this term. Including classroom objects, occupations, locations in a city and transportation. We will review both the vocabulary from each topic as well as the target grammar expanding where possible.

Song(s): Brothers or sisters Activities and Game(s): Placing objects in the correct room using a board and object stickers . Play a game using a dice with some of the vocabulary words on it. i.e. Where are you going? Roll dice. I am going to the kitchen.

Phonics
Review
We will continue our review of blending two and three letter words this week. We will also be playing fly swat and circling letters on the board to review all the different letter sounds and names. We will continue our listening game where the students listen to a word and taking turns to fill in all the missing letters on the board. I have seen a lot of improvement in their listening skills after playing this game with them the past few weeks.

New (letters/sounds/vocabulary)
This week we will begin looking at words that begin with the sounds CH and SH Like: shark, chair, shell, sheep, chip, ship etc. We will also practice reading words out of our workbook in their word families. This week we will be focusing on the word families with the letter a in the middle of the word. -at, -am, -ag, -an, -ap

Writing Practice
We will be practicing writing out full words from our work book on the blank pages when students finish their work early.

Sight Words
The students are not currently doing sight words.
