1) Tickets a. The gates will open at 12:00 p.m. on November 10. Tickets will be purchased on a first-come, firstserved basis at the ticket office in the lobby of the Meymandi Concert Hall. Tickets may also be purchased in advance in person at the Box Office of the Progress Energy Center for Performing Arts. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. b. Tickets will be $8 for adults and $6 for Senior Citizens and students. Families of four or more are $25. c. For security, the Progress Energy Center for Performing Arts staff will require a ticket to enter the Meymandi Concert Hall each time you enter. 2) Performance Schedule a. Concert Band 2:30 b. Symphonic Band 3:00 c. Honors Band 3:35 d. Honors Choir 4:15 3) Seating a. Seating is general admission on a first-come, first-served basis. If at all possible, please sit in the lower level. Please make sure that children seated in any other areas are supervised. b. Meymandi Concert Hall Seating Chart 4) Parking a. If you are not a registered student or sponsor that is coming at 8:00, please arrive by 12:00 1:30 to allow plenty of time to park. b. Buses and vans coming in at this time may park in the Gravel Lot that is shown on the Parking Diagram, or you may use the Bus Lane on Wilmington Street. c. For parents and anyone else driving in, there are several parking options listed in the parking diagram (3rd page). d. Parking is $7 at these locations. These parking lots are owned by the city of Raleigh, and we have no authority to change these prices. e. For this event, you will be able to park in either the Parking Deck or the Surface Lots. The Surface Lots are directly in front of Meymandi Concert Hall, but if they are full, please use the Parking Deck. f. For permanent parking for buses and vans that are coming at 8:00 a.m., you may use the Gravel Lot on Salisbury Street that is shown on the Parking Diagram, or you may use the Bus Lane on Wilmington Street. If you use the Bus Lane, please pull up to the most forward spot so other buses and vans can continue parking on that lane. 5) Schedule for Saturday a. The master schedule is listed online.

b. Dropping off Students Participating schools and students should be at Meymandi at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Buses and vans that are bringing students (no equipment) can park in the bus lane, and then the students can walk on the sidewalks to the rear entrance of Meymandi Concert Hall. All buses/vans that are carrying students and equipment can pull in the Kennedy Center parking lot (behind the Memorial Auditorium on Salisbury Street) by 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. There will not be room to park the buses and vans permanently, but if everyone unloads quickly, several buses and vans should be able to unload students and equipment. 6) Chaperones a. The Progress Energy Center for Performing Fine Arts management has been very clear with us regarding chaperones for this large group of students. We are asking each school to help us with this. b. The NCCSA requires at least 1 chaperone (can be band director or fine arts coordinator) per 10 students. Please be responsible for these students, especially on Saturday at the Meymandi Concert Hall. c. Since the NCCSA must pay for each person that enters the Meymandi Concert Hall, 1 chaperone per 10 students (up to 4 chaperones) per school will be able to enter at 8:00 a.m. (free of charge). 7) Liability Form a. Just as we do with Athletics, each school must have on file a Fine Arts Liability Form for each student that is participating in this years Music Clinic. The NCCSA is carrying liability insurance on this event, but per our policy as well as the policy of the Progress Energy Center for Performing Fine Arts, each school must have this form on file for each registered student. Please download this document and make sure each music clinic student has a completed form on file at your school. 8) Entering Meymandi Saturday Morning a. The Rear Door Security Guard will have a list of all registered students and chaperones. b. For security purposes, please make sure the students from each school are together in a group when they enter. c. All Music Clinic participants (registered students and chaperones) will be able to enter the Meymandi Concert Hall at the rear entrance door at approximately 8:00 a.m. d. Only registered students will be able to enter. Any other students and parents must enter through the Meymandi Concert Hall lobby when the doors open at 12:00 p.m. 9) Lunch a. There is a McDonalds, Jimmy Johns, and Z Pizza (which is offering discounts to our students) available for lunch on Saturday. Students must have chaperones with them when they walk to lunch during their assigned lunch break. 10) Dress a. There will be locker rooms for the students to change. b. Please see the FAQ document for dress guidelines for practice and rehearsal. 11) Photography/Video a. There is to be no flash photography for this event. This is the policy of the Progress Energy Center for Performing Arts, and their ushers will enforce this policy. b.
