Citizens for Accoun ntable Gover rnance (CAG G) is a not-f for-profit organizat tion. It aim ms to build d a substant tive and pu urposeful collabora ation with va arious establ lishments in the country y and also engage th he common n mass in a movement to t further st trengthen accounta able govern nance in India. CA AG believ ves that accounta ability and governance g are two factors that ne eed to go hand-in-h hand for the e progress of any nation n. While the e existing institutions and relevant r pr rovisions have h the requisite sms in plac ce, there is a need to further f inno ovate and mechanis strengthe en the same. With this s purpose in n mind, Citiz zens for Acc countable Go overnance ha as been initi iated by a gr roup of young g and spirited d professionals. CAG aim ms to educa ate, engage and a empower fellow citiz zens about the e need to discuss, debate e and define issues that bring b accoun ntability in go overnance. CAG vol lunteers are from divers se professional and edu ucational bac ckgrounds. CAG C volunt teers have gra aduated from m top educa ational institutions such h as the IIT Ts, IIMs an nd other lead ding universities across th he world. Pr rior to joinin ng CAG, the ese voluntee ers have mad de their mar rk in some of f the most prestigious organizatio ons across domains d lik ke managem ment consult ting, investme ent banking, technology, law, public policy, social developm ment, media, etc. y, CAG com mprises of 50 5 plus full time volun nteers from different pa arts of India a.
