survived being electrocuted with enough voltage
My Dear People:
There had to be such great joy and a sense of
victory for Jesus and His followers when Jesus
rose from the dead.
When He died, the sense of loss on the part of
the apostles and followers of Jesus was
enormous. He was so attractive and loving. His
friends clung to Him, gravitated toward Him. The
horrible suffering and the sense of loss could be
known only by people who have suffered it.
The joy and the thrill of seeing Jesus again on
this side of the grave was beyond measure. It
was joy personified. He would “come” and “go” in
those apparitions. That “going” must have been
frustrating, but the knowledge that He was alive
and with them filled their hearts with a happiness
no one could take from them.
The victory of overcoming death and the
destructive force of His enemies was a victory
shared by His followers who saw Him treated
with the utmost brutality and violence. He was
ultimately nailed to a cross to die in anguish. At
the foot of the cross His enemies said they would
believe in Him if He would come down from the
cross. He did better than that. He hung there until
death, was buried and then broke forth from the
tomb to the shock of the Roman soldiers
guarding the tomb and to the fear of His
enemies...and to the joy of Mary, His mother, and
all of His followers.
Today, the anniversary of His coming out of the
tomb, is a day that His followers, you and I, need
to experience with that sense of joy and victory
experienced by His mother and the apostles.
Rejoice and be glad for He has truly risen and
has blazed the trail for our own life after death.
This Friday we will have a 7:00 p.m. healing
Mass. The Mass is requested by a layperson
who is known for HEALING others. After the
Mass, he will speak and pray over people
individually.
The layperson’s name is FRANK KELLY. He is
extremely orthodox and with a great devotion to
the Mass. He himself has had several healings.
His most spectacular healing came when he
to take his life. With the stopping of his heart, the
doctor even came to him with the death
certificate and he suddenly woke. For the next
month his heart would stop every six days for 11
seconds and then on the 12th second it would
start again.
He is God’s messenger for healing others of
psychological and physical ailments. Frank also
has a great devotion to the saints such as Padre
Pio. I am anxious to hear him speak. All are
invited and encouraged to attend.
Next Sunday is Divine Mercy Sunday for the
universal church. We will have our usual 3:00
p.m. till 4:00 p.m. holy hour in the church
celebrating and asking for God’s mercy.
The hour of Jesus’ death was 3:00 p.m.
Churches all over the world will celebrate an hour
of prayer, reflection and hymns celebrating God’s
mercy at 3:00 p.m. next Sunday. Please
consider coming to celebrate God’s mercy.

Vacation Bible School-
Discovery Canyon-which
will be June 8-12 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
This is for children going into K4 through 4th
grade as of August 2009. Registration forms are
located in the front entrance of the Church. Final
registration is May 19.
Beginning Experience ministry is a support
group designed for grief recovery and personal
growth for the divorced, widowed, and separated
of this community. Beginning Experience
ministry is Christian-based, interdenominational
and all are welcome. BE is a levels program with
4 levels running simultaneously each 10 weeks.
The next session begins on Tuesday, April 14 at
6 p.m. The meetings are held in the Family Life
Center. The cost for the 10 weeks is $25.00.
Childcare is provided at no cost.
There will be no Adult Education Lecture on
Easter Sunday. Please join us for “The Prayer
behind Art and the Art behind Prayer,” by
parishioner Frances Smith, Sunday April 26.
Our Lady of Grace Guild will meet at the Family

Our Lady of Sorrows Taste of Tailgating-The
Our Lady of Sorrows PTO would like to invite you
to their spring fundraiser event “Taste of
Tailgating.” The event will be held on Saturday,
April 25, 2009, from 7:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Tickets are $30.00 per person and can be
purchased at the OLS School office (879-3237).
The event includes tailgating food, a cash bar, a
live band and both live and silent auctions.

Healing Service at Our Lady of Sorrows
Frank Kelly, who has a healing ministry, is
coming to Our Lady of Sorrows Church on Friday,
April 17. Mass is at 7:00 p.m. followed by his
witnessing and teaching, then praying over each
individual. Msgr. Martin M. Muller is the
celebrant. Frank has a book called Short Circuit
to God and all proceeds are sent to missionary
priests in India and Ghana to help the poor. All

The Spring Magnificat Prayer Breakfast will be
