Introduction
Requirements System:
Server Ms. Windows 2000 or Advanced Server with Service Pack 3. Available with Windows 2003. Database Ms SQL Server 2000.
A. Preparing Installation
1.
Before starting eBdesk eXpander installation, you must assured that this application must be installed in your server : 1.1 Web Server: MS IIS version 5.x or higher. IIS Installer is exist in Operating System Installer. For Windows 2000 Advanced Server, IIS is automatically installed when installation Operating System is running. Besides IIS, eXpander could be installed in Apache Web Server for Windows 1.2 Data Base : SQL Server Enterprise 2000 While installing SQL Server, authentication mode must be choosed Mixed Mode (Windows Authentication and SQL Server Authentication) See figure i 1 Figure i - 1:Settingfor SQL Authentication 1.3 Before installing eXpander Collaboration Suite, SMTP / Pop Server Service must be disabled because eXpander eBdesk has mail server too and must be used to run the eBdesk mail application. To be disabled SMTP service please go to : Start > Setting > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services Right Click Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP) service , Choose properties, from General tab, choose Startup Type then change it to be disabled
B. Installation Process
Insert eBdesk CD installer into CD-ROM. You will get 2 directory, it content installation packet such as: 1. eBdesk eXpander Corporate Portal Platform 2. eBdesk eXpander Collaboration Suite Installation Process must be follow the arrangement above, while for uninstall in effect on the other hand. To install eBdesk eXpander do the steps bellow.

eBdesk eXpander Corporate Portal Platform
Running Setup Portal Builder
For installing eBdesk eXpander Corporate Portal Platform, open eBdesk eXpander Corporate Portal Platform directory and run file explatform.msi. Setup Wizard Page will be displayed. Click button for continue installation process. (See picture 1-1)
License Agreement
After click Next button, license agreement eBdesk eXpander page will be displayed. Chose for continue the installation process, or chose to cancel the installation process. Click button for continue installation process. (See picture 1- 2)
Installation Process
When installation process ongoing, progress bar will be displayed. Installation process is going on view minute until progress bar is full. It signify that the process it finished. (See picture 1-10)

Running Setup Collaboration Suite
For installing eBdesk eXpander Collaboration Suite, run file excollaboration.msi on eBdesk eXpander Collaboration Suite directory. Setup Wizard Collaboration Page will be displayed. Click button to continue the installation process. (See picture 2 -1)

After click Next button, License Agreement Page will be displayed. Chose installation or chose cancel installation process. to continue the to

Installatin Process

After complete all of the installation phase above, you can login into eBdesk eXpander application by write the IP server or domain name on the browser. Example: http://localhost atau http://ebdesk.com And then press Enter. You will be dihadapkan with eBdesk Corporate Portal Software login page. Input your User ID and Password (Case Sensitive): User ID : administrator Password : manager
