Dear Friends:

Praise God we have the official word that our temporary residence permits have been granted by the Rhodesian Government! We're excited I At this time we plan a commer cial airline departure from Los Angeles on July 27.

Following three intermediate stops with supporters, we will depart on our international flight from Montreal on August
tenth, and arrive in Salisbury on the twelfth. Chidamoyo and home. Then on to

It has been a tremendous year and we praise God for it. Thanks to all of you who have welcomed and ministered to us this year in the "Good Die U.S.A." We are presently enroute to Seattle, Washington,- for several speaking engagements and to report to many of you who have supported us.

A good friend of ours suggested, and provided amply for, the

insertion of the self-addressed envelopes in our last news letter. We are grateful to him -and to you, for more than
$900 additional in gifts.

Though we have thoroughly enjoyed our many opportunities to share with you concerning our work, our schedule and finances have precluded any flight time for Bill, except on a recent Sunday when he managed to get a check-out and a total of 1.8 hours of flight time enough to make him aware of how rusty a pilot becomes with no flying for more than a year. Our next TASK will originate in Rhodesia, Lord willing, he keep you ever in the hollow of His hand.
Because of Christ,
May

DAVID AND JULIE

August 15,
DEPARTURE NEWS FLASH

1978

Dear Friends in Christ:

Despite the July First closure of Chidamoyo Mission to the white missionaries for the time being, we are responding to the re quest of Jack Penningtons to relieve them of some of their work while they take a furlough.

Feeling the necessity to delay our departure, and thus eliminat ing some costly stops, we are departing from Los Angeles International Airport on the 21st of August, destination Salisbury, God willing.

For nearly three weeks following our receipt of news that the resident missionaries had decided they had better move to the city, we were very undecided as to what our next move should be. But
now we feel confident once more that this is what the Lord wants us

to do.

We are so grateful to you for a wonderful furlough year. Your

prayers and words of encouragement are uplifting as we depart.

Because of the change in our direction of service, we felt i t

necessary to publish this update prior to our departure. We will be ministering to a white congregation in Salisbury and assisting in scripture classes in the schools. Hopefully, we will be able to do some flying to help relieve suffering in the war-torn bush areas. The Chidamoyo airplane will be available to us in Salisbury.
We stand ready to assist in the reopening of Chidamoyo when that opportunity presents itself. Knowing that all things work together for good to them that love

God, we are looking forward with excitement to another five years of

service.

In His Love,

The Harrisons
