The war goes on here in Zimbabwe Rhodesia. We had great hope that the situation would be settled by this time, but peace is still an illusive dream. But of one thing we can be sure and that is of the peace of Christ that reigns in our hearts as
we seek to be more like Him day by day.

At Salisbury Christian Church on Sunday mornings Bill is preaching a series of

sermons on the letters of I and 11 Thessalonians. Paul tells us in I Thess., 4:13-18

about events surrounding the second coming of Christ. We certainly find encouragement in those words. And it is all possible because Jesus died and rose again as Paul
states in verse 14,

Five of the men in the congregation are preaching regularly on Sunday evenings which is not only a great help to Bill, but is also an indication of their desire to serve God in a more positive manner. This is encouraging for all of us.
The church leaders here have selected monthly missionary projects for the church

to support at the rate of $25 per month. The first two monthly gifts go to Underground Evangelism. At our monthly fellowship time last Saturday we enjoyed and were challenged by the speaker, Mr. Bob Sutton, who is the U.E. representative here. He explained the different ways U.E. is helping the suffering Christians in the underground church in

Reba's Bible study with the women on Tuesday mornings is very worthwhile._ They
are now involved in the benevolent work of preparing a "Dorcas Basket" which will in clude canned foods, etc., for needy members or friends. Also, they collect magazines

which will be stamped with our church address and placed in certain rehabilitation
centers where so many young men are recuperating from battle wounds.

We are happy that God has entrusted us with these responsibilities for now. Bill is able to fly a Methodist doctor and his wife (nurse) - Dr. and Mrs. Piburn,
