FLEXIBILITY WHEN YOU NEED IT

Exceptional Output Quality In the competitive business environment, quality is everything. The AR-M160/AR-M205 are capable of reproducing the highest quality copies and prints thanks to their 600x600dpi print/copy resolution meaning that your documents, whether for internal or external distribution, will be crisp and clear every time. Flexible Operation The AR-M160/AR-M205 come with 16/32Mb RAM as standard which is expandable to 272/288Mb respectively. This in-built RAM offers a number of digital benefits including SOPM (Scan-Once-Print-Many) which has the advantage of enabling you to return to your desk with your originals whilst multiple copy sets are created. The in-built output shifter also ensures when printing multiple sets of documents that they are automatically offset so that they can easily be identified and distributed. Increased Efficiency Provided as standard on the AR-M205, a limitless ADU (Automatic Duplex Unit) enables the fast production of double sided prints or copies. For an even faster input of documents when copying or scanning, the optional RSPF (Reversing Single Pass Feeder) will feed and scan up to 40 single sided or double sided originals automatically. This is particularly useful for either copying large sets of documents or scanning multiple pages for electronic distribution. Configure to Your Requirements The AR-M160 comes with one 250 sheet paper cassette and a 100 sheet multi-page bypass whilst the AR-M205 comes as standard with two 250 sheet paper cassettes and a 100 sheet bypass. In case the standard paper supply of 350 sheets and 600 sheets, respectively, is not sufficient, additional paper supplies can be added either from initial installation or as your business grows. Up to a further two paper cassettes can be added giving a maximum of either 850 or 1100 sheets, increasing the ability to hold different paper stock on line e.g letterheads, continuation paper, A4, A3 etc. Both the AR-M160 and AR-M205 are also capable of feeding heavy weight paper up to 200gsm from the bypass if required. The advantage of having a modular machine is that you can upgrade your device as and when your copy and print volumes increase.

PRINTING ON DEMAND
Truly Multifunctional The AR-M160/AR-M205 come with a printer board as standard enabling you to use your device as a high quality A3 laser printer from the start. Utilising both the standard parallel or USB 1.0 port, it is possible for up to two users to use the print functionality at any one time. The SPLC printer board utilises Sharps unique printer language (Sharp Printer Language with Compression). As a result, print files are compressed which results in a much faster transfer of data. This printer board option even incorporates sophisticated functionality such as TIFF/PDF direct print. This allows you to drag and drop TIFF or PDF files on to the AR-M160/AR-M205 print icon on your desktop PC for immediate printing. There is no need to open the file and then select print, its all done at the click of a mouse.

Where there is a larger workgroup, in a small office or department for example, the optional SPLC printer board enables up to three users to be connected at a time. By adding the print server adaptor, connection to a LAN is also possible for multiple users.

Sophisticated Print In busy departments where LAN environments exist for example, an optional PCL printer board with integral Network Interface Card can be added to create a highly efficient network printer for multiple users. It is even possible to integrate an optional PostScript 3 driver should this be required.

DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT
Input, Throughput, Output In the work environment, more and more documents are being distributed electronically to save time and improve the dissemination of information. Thanks to the integral full colour scanner on the AR-M160/AR-M205, it is possible to scan your documents and forward them to your desktop PC at 600x1200dpi in full colour. Once received you are then able to redirect scanned images to an FTP site for other users to access or distribute via e-mail. Now there is no need for a separate stand alone scanner as well as a copier and printerits an all-in-one device. Sharps own document management software, Sharpdesk, comes packaged with the AR-M160/AR-M205. This software allows you to scan full colour documents and send them directly to your desktop PC. With Sharpdesk you are then able to browse, sort and file documents. It also allows you to easily create and distribute complete reports, proposals and more, utilising a simple drag and drop operation. With the PCL printer board installed it is even possible to scan and distribute full colour files to anyone on a network*. This option even comes with a three user Sharpdesk licence which can be upgraded for even more network users to have access to the functionality of this software utility.

Sharp Printer Administration Utility and Sharp Monitor software which are included with the PCL printer board do just this. Whether you are a Network Administrator or a user, these software utilities enable you to interrogate the device across the network and assess the status of the device before you send a print job. Sharp Monitor lets you know if the machine is online or offline and even the amount of paper remaining in the cassettes. E-mail Status and Alert Sharps unique e-mail status and alert utility, which is available with the optional AR-NB2, further improves the level of feedback you are able to get from the AR-M160/AR-M205 and can actually pre-empt minor problems. For example, an e-mail is automatically sent to a key operator advising that the toner may be low allowing them to replace this item in advance, that service may be required in the near future or that the paper supply is depleted.

Job Status and Monitoring The AR-M160/AR-M205 should be at the heart of your business. As such, if your device is not directly in line of sight it is imperative that you should be able to assess the status of the AR-M160/AR-M205 at any given time.
