Make-Up Work: This is your responsibility. If you are absent (excused only) the day you are scheduled to give a speech, be prepared to present your speech upon return to school. When you are absent, check my website to see what you missed. Upon return to school, check the designated classroom folder to acquire any handouts that you need. Important Reminders: If you are not prepared the day you are assigned to give your speech, your grade will be reduced by 10 points. If you are not prepared the second day, you will lose 20 points. All speeches must be completed. There are no optional speeches. Failure to complete any one speech will result in a failing grade for the nine weeks. Dressing up for a formal speech establishes credibility as a speaker. You are required to dress appropriately for all speeches. As an audience member you are to display respect and consideration at all times. Your conduct as an audience member can affect the grade on your own speech.
