Many individuals will be rotating off committees this year and new folks will be rotating on for a three

year period. I want to thank all of those who have served these past three years and also those who will continue to serve. Our church is committee driven, meaning that the committees make the recommendations for the direction of the church. Every committee is important to the overall life of the church and needs to meet on a regular basis. Our Deacons are a ministry driven body of men committed to the work of the Lord in this place. The new officers for the coming year are: Jerry Pollock, chair; Toby Roland, vice chair; and Nathan Harrell, secretary. I am so thankful for all the men that serve the Lord as a Deacon of the First Baptist Church. I look forward to new and exciting times together in the coming year. The New Church year officially starts on September 1. The first big event of the year is our High Attendance Day in Sunday School and Tailgate party, September 8. Please set your goals for your class as soon as you can. I believe The harvest plentiful, will you be a worker that brings in the harvest? See you Sunday. Paul

SHOCKWAVE BEGAN SUNDAY

We had a great attendance last Sunday afternoon. There was a great sense of excitement in the air as we selected a new musical [CRADLE THAT ROCKED THE WORLD] to sing at Christmas and music [CHANGE THE WORLD] for the balance of the year. We plan to share in the evening service this Sunday night, so wear your shirts and tune your voices. All teens are invited to be a part of another great year in SHOCKWAVE Choir. Meet in the Choir Room at 5:15 this Sunday.

Thank you! All teaching positions Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings are now full. Thank you to those who prayed and accepted the call to work with our children. Thank you to those who prayed for us to find God's person for each spot. Although all teachers have been found, there is always room for extra hands. If you feel God is speaking to you about working in the children or preschool ministry, please talk with me. As we grow, many of our classes will need to expand and God may want to use you to make it happen! Current information needed! Please take time to complete an online form today. You can find the link to complete your child's registration on the FBC Bainbridge homepage located at www.fbcbainbridge.com. AWANA Training Sunday, August 25 - Noon Calling all AWANA volunteers! CHILDRENS CHOIRS KICK OFF

Another year of fun and learning began last Wednesday, August 14. Each of the children and leaders had a great time last week. We have a room change that you may want to make a note of: Our First and Second Grade students are meeting in the Second Grade Sunday School room, off of the Fellowship Hall.

SAINTS ALIVE & CHANCEL CHOIRS

Thanks to the choirs for uniting their voices to share Sinner Saved by Grace in the 11 AM worship last Sunday. Weve premiered the new Christmas musical, The Jesus Gift and it is great. Join us on Wednesday nights and our extra rehearsals as we prepare to share this gift of worship.
