July/August 2013 Dear Fellow-laborers, Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo,

I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:20 Teaching and training are in great need for the Deaf believers to grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, that they might serve Him practically. It is breaking my heart to see that nearly all the long-time Deaf believers who had been saved have not been taught the important doctrines of the Bible. That is where my focus has been with them recently. News: 1) 15 Deaf pupils at Magwero got saved after I gave the Gospel over several weeks with a power point presentation. It started with God and the Bible and progressed to sin and their need for salvation. We are so thankful for their response! 2) We travelled to the town of Katete, 50 miles west, and witnessed to several Deaf people. 3) Recently, Sonny Lungu had a burden and zeal to visit with me to one Deaf Magwero graduate in a village near Chipata. After hearing the Gospel, she trusted Christ! 4) I have been discipling two men and two married couples in the town of Chipata. Also, I have recently begun discipling Sonny Lungu. He has a true desire to study the Bible and serve the Lord to proclaim salvation to others! 5) I am so thankful that the Lord tried my heart in how I struggled for a year while driving on very unpleasant roads to Magwero. The roads are being graded completely. I can drive easily now on the road to preach and teach there. Prayer: 1) For wisdom to focus on teaching and training the Deaf disciples. 2) For evangelistic visitation in the nearby towns of Lundazi and Petauke. These towns are two hours drive away in different directions. They each have a deaf school and community here in the Eastern Province. Please pray for mercy and safety on the trips next month. 3) For the Deaf evangelist from the States as he visits here from September 20th to October 3rd. Please pray for wisdom and strength as the Deaf souls get impacted. The theme is Saved, Separated, and Serving the Lord. 4) I happened to meet the Deaf Muslim Indian in town again. We discussed a plan that we can meet again. We did meet, but he had to work. Please pray for the best time that he can be free so I might witness to him thoroughly. It is a real challenge. He is really illiterate, but can communicate pretty good. I denitely need wisdom. 5) Please pray for my mother to be saved since she is become a widow now. 6) The trial of one teacher from the Deaf school who is accused of sexual misconduct with a student is not yet resolved. Please pray for the truth to be known and justice to be done. 7) Pray for the Deaf Pastor Ariel Banda. He has a lack of discernment, and I fear his decisions may harm the church. Wisdom in helping him with Gods Word is needed. Thanks for your faithful prayers and support. May our Lord Jesus Christ bless you as you wholly strive to fulll His Great Commission. Your servants for Jesus sake, Jimmy and Julie Tsoukalas
