Boundless thanks to you, Brethren, for the way we have worked together for the furtherance and growth, and permanence of the Kingdom even in frustrating
times.

Now let me brief you on our expedition to the interior which is my duty to do On Wednesday morning, 7:30, September 26, our crew of eight (8) left Georgetown, the heart of Guyana^ The first leg of the journey was covered in eighteen (18) hours, then from there by boat, also hired, another day-and a half up river to the landing. After a little rest the rigorous task of fetch

Around mid-October we had most of our instruments made and assembled and

were hyper-eager for the kick off (start). Permit me, please, in order to bring you more up-to-date on the expedition to go back briefly into history. In 1978, I registered at the Lands and Mines Office in Georgetown, the Claim Mission No. 1; this is the registered name. course supported by the CORRECT METHOD of OPERATION.

Before my visit to the U.S. in March of this year, 1984, I bought three
lengths of fire hose and the Brethren in Kansas, another 300 feet One week

before the crew left Georgetown we tested our equipment to be sure.

The three

lengths of hose I bought, though never used, and very new in appearance, each one under water pressure ripped in the seams. That meant we had to change our original mode of operation from mass production which was our guarantee

for absolute victory, to the old method of manually charging the sluices^
which was too slow a process for quick production. We sold some gold to the G-jyana Gold Board but not enough to give us the shout we anticipated, I was

Dear Brethren and Partners in Christ.

Greetings in Christ Jesus to every one of you!

"Project Evangelism"

continues appace in Guyana through our united efforts with the Lord Jesus leading us.

For so many of you, our Brethren. I hardly have any news since with tremendous speed I tried to, by personal correspondence, keep you posted on the latest on matters of Church and hinterland operation. Your enthusiastic interest in what we do in Guyana is most encouraging to us. ihank you so much. To other Brethren who must rely on our News
Letter for updating we have some news for you.
Firstly, Church. Thanks to the Lord our attendance continues to be

encouraging^

Members we lost through migration to the United States, we

thankfully regained by baptism. Our Annual Holy Week Revival Service yielded a revival of reconsecration of life and service by almost the whole congregation. It was thrilling and awe inspiring from night to night to see members especially, surrendering more fully to the Lord
ship of Christ. There was no sign of fanaticism but a sober realiza

tion of our deeper spiritual need. One of the touching scenes was see ing Sister Rita Allicock and her two teen-age daughters coming forward
to be immersed into Christ.

Bro. Keith Tasher, my assistant, has done his first semester at

church. He is also active in many of the preliminaries preceding

preaching.

Many of Amy Grant's pieces will be rendered. Many thanks to June Timmons, our Christian friend, who presented her these special tapes and books. Empson, our grandson, is doing an excellent job at driving, thus re lieving his Dadda of much of>the strain to get some of the folks to

Indies, and returned on May 7, to visit with his family until reopening of School in September, 1985. The Women's Circle is seriously preparing for their Anniversary Programme on i^ay 12= Imebet, our grandaughter, is also busy preparing her Junior Choir for their first concert in July.

Especially boxes which also include the allowed ten pounds of wheat flour and other food items; dried milk, etc= The medical ministry is an opening wedge. li!e are running short of vita mins and medical supplies^ Please remember us in this area also Now for the interior. Mid January two members of our crew accompa nied me; to, secure our equipment left behind at Mission # 1 when the pump

broke down in December. .The man left in ,charge wanted^ to come home and
we went also to relieve him. It took us five weeks to do a little mining and to move our equipment some thirty miles to a settlement where they were stored in a bond for safe keeping. On Thursday March 21, I dis patched a crew of nine to go at it again. Sorry I could not head that crew again this time, I did not want to leave the congregation in inexperienced hands. In Tasher's absence the Church needs me even more Many good men fell at the feet of gold; but we must trust someone to

carry out the expedition in my absence and pray for 75% if not 100%.
Finally. Brethren, I do not like the tone of my doctor's voice when he demanded that I take much rest though I thank him. More finally, Brethren, Thanks again for keeping us in the army. Please pray for us.
