TOPIC 1: PLEASE DESCRIBE THE EXTENT TO WHICH THE FBI EXAMINED THE
PASSENGER MANIFESTS AND PASSENGERS, OR SCREENED OTHER
COMMERCIAL FLIGHTS THAT TOOK PLACE OR WERE SCHEDULED TO TAKE
PLACE ON SEPTEMBER 11.2001. DOES THE FBI HAVE ANY DOCUMENTATION
SUFFICIENT TO DESCRIBE THIS PROCESS:

• This information is available in ACS. Houston, Dallas and Chicago'Divisions all


conducted extensive investigations of the airlines in their Divisions.

TOPIC 2; DID THE FBI SEEK TO IDENTIFY THOSE PASSENGERS ABOARD THE
HIJACKED FLIGHTS WHO MAY HAVE BEEN ACTIVE FEDERAL. STATE, OR
LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS? IF SO, DOES THE FBI HAVE A LIST
IDENTIFYING PASSENGERS WHO WERE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS;

• Flight 93 passenger Richard Guadagno was an un-armed law enforcement officer, US


Fish and Wildlife.

TOPIC 3: WHAT DOES THE FBI KNOW FROM EVIDENCE OR DETAINEE


REPORTS ABOUT AL-OAEDA AND THE 9/11 HIJACKERS EFFORT TO LEARN
ABOUT THE U.S. CIVIL AVIATION SECURITY SYSTEM, OTHER THAN
SURVEILLANCE FLIGHTS. WHAT EVIDENCE HAS BEEN FOUND THAT
INDICATES AL-OAEDA OBTAINED OR SOUGHT TO OBTAIN GOVERNMENTAL,
MEDIA AND/OR OTHER REPORTS ON THE U.S. CIVIL AVIATION SECURITY
SYSTEM. AND PLANS TO SURVEIL. TEST AND/OR EVADE THAT SYSTEM?

• This information may be available in ACS. A check through IntelLink produced negative
results.

TOPIC 6: DOES THE FBI HAVE ANY EVIDENCE COLLECTED FROM THE CRASH
SITES AND/OR THE HIJACKER'S QUARTERS REGARDING THE FOLLOWING
ITEMS:

FLIGHT 93 was the only crime scene which did not contain material other than that
located on the plane
• Knives: one (1) black knife handle; one (1) silver color blade and piece of black
handle; one (1) possible homemade knife; one (1) pocket knife; one (1)
multi-purpose utility tool with knife blade exposed; one (1) pocket knife; one (1)
open partial Leatherman Tool; one (1) section of utility knife; one (1) part of
Leatherman Tool; one (1) knife blade; one (1) knife blade; one (1) possible knife
blade; one (1) green plastic handle for utility knife. The above evidence was
recovered from the crash site for UAL Flight 93. Photographs and Lab Reports for
the above are on the PENTTBOM Photo Database.
• Firearms: No firearms recovered in regards to UAL Flight 93
• Mace/Pepper spray or similar: No Mace/Pepper spray recovered in regards to
UAL Flight 93.
• Explosives: No explosives or traces of explosives recovered in regards to UAL
Flight 93.
• Incendiaries: No incendiaries recovered in regards to UAL Flight 93.
• Dangerous or deadly weapons: No dangerous or deadly weapons recovered in
regards to UAL Flight 93.
• Fake bombs: Victims calling from UAL Flight 93 stated hijackers had a bomb
and that one of the hijacker's appeared to holding an item that passengers believed
was a bomb. No item was recovered from the crash site that resembles a fake
bomb.

• FLIGHTS 77, 11 £n.d :175 all crashed into buildings, making the distinction between what
was on the plane and what was hi the buildings very difficult. All items recovered from
any of the flight sites are available in the collected items reports hi ACS.

• All items collected from hotel rooms, vehicles and luggage associated with the hijackers
are located hi the collected items reports hi ACS and Concordance. Items sent to the lab
can be found in the specimen report and hi the Lab Photo Database.

TOPIC 8: DID THE FBI DO ANY ANALYSIS OF WHETHER THE HIJACKERS


PURCHASED EXTRA TICKETS FOR THE FLIGHTS WHICH WENT UNUSED.

• - Financial analysis was conducted. The hijackers did not purchase any tickets which went
unused for any of the flights.

7:58 A.M. CELL PHONE CALL INVOLVING MOHAMED ATT A.

• What is the source of the information on the 9/11/01 7:58 am phone call? This question
could be based upon old or bad information which have since been clarified.
• The significant 9/11/01 calls we have regarding (302)496-2443 are:
• 9/11/01 between 6:52 am and 6:55 am (617)880-8272, a payphone in Terminal
"C" calls (305)496-2443
• United Airlines Flight 175 departed from Terminal "C." These calls are probably
from Marwan Al-Shehhi to Mohammed Atta.

FBI USED TO ID INDIVIDUALS AS TERRORISTS WHILE CLEARING OTHERS:

TOPIC 16; DID THE FBI RECOVER COMPUTER CHIPS FROM THE ENGINE OF
ANY OF THE FLIGHTS?

• No "computer chips" were recovered from Flights 11,77,93 or 175.

TOPIC 17: DID FBI IDENTIFY ANY TERRORIST SUSPECTS ON AAL FLIGHT 144
WHICH WAS THE TURNAROUND FLIGHT FO AAL 77. OR THE TURNAROUND
FLIGHTS FOR ANY OF THE OTHER HIJACKED PLANES?

No additional terrorists were identified on any of the turnaround flights.

• Investigation was conducted subsequent to 09/11/2001 on three individuals who were


scheduled to travel on American Airlines Flight 144 (AA144); however, to date, neither
evidence nor intelligence has indicated a connection to the 09/11/2001 hijackers.

• Information obtained by the FBI subsequent to 09/11/2001 indicated that three Middle
Eastern males were scheduled to return from Los Angeles to Washington Dulles on
09/10/2001 via American Airlines Flight 144 (AA144) at 12:45PM; however, none of the
three individuals boarded AA144 (note: AA144 became American Airlines Flight 77
which was crashed into the Pentagon on 09/11/2001).

foreign writing; a cellular telephone broken into many small pieces; dark blue/black coats or
sweaters (one coat had an inverted gold-colored " Y" on a sleev^) with white shirts hanging in the
closet [note: these items of clothing were presumed to have been'pilots' uniforms]; and a
computer printout containing a list of apparent airline flight numbers, times, dates, and names

Sarah,

Investigation at all four crash cites on 9/11/2001 were inspected and tested for any evidence of explosive
material. All four sites were negative.

There is no evidence that explosives were used on any of the flights.
