Entrance Examinations
Candidates seeking to do BHT are required to sit an Entrance Test, which consists of: Mathematics exam English exam Oral interview A faculty assessment test for Hospitality & Tourism Diploma holders Candidates should report to the University by 8.00 a.m. on the day of the interview and should bring: TOUR OPERATING

The degree aims to produce professionals with firm academic and practical foundation in management and operation of most sectors in the hospitality industry. Graduates will be multi-skilled with transferable managerial skills within the hospitality industry. The curriculum also incorporates courses in languages, humanities, and ethics to enable students attain a holistic development.

Target group
The degree targets secondary school leavers (Form four graduates or higher). The programme is also open to applicants who possess relevant qualifications for admission to a Hospitality and Tourism degree program, for instance Hospitality and Tourism Diploma holders from training institutions recognized by the University Academic Council.

Course structure
The Hospitality and Tourism degree is offered in two stages; Stage I and II. A stage is equivalent to two academic years for a total of 4 years. Included are compulsory community based attachment, and COMPUTERIZED RESERVATION SYSTEMS RECREATION SITES 800 hours industrial attachment distributed within the two stages. BUSINESS/ INDUSTRY

KCSE aggregate minimum C, plus a Professional Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism from an institution recognised by the University Academic Council. KCSE Aggregate C+ with a minimum of C in both Mathematics and English, Geography, Biology, and Chemistry or Physics KACE certificate with a minimum of two principal passes, one subsidiary pass, and a minimum of a Credit Pass in Mathematics, English, and one other subject in Geography, or Biology or Chemistry or Physics.
