I.CubScoutPack9WeBeLoSIDenBehaviorExpectations&DisciplinePolicy: ThebehaviorexpectationsforCubScoutPack9WeBeLoSIDenarebasedonlivingbytheCubScoutPromise andtheLawofthePack.OnthesepremisesthefollowingBehaviorExpectations&DisciplinePolicyhavebeen establishedtoprovideCubScouts,Parents,andAdultLeaderswithaframeworkofexpectations,disciplinaryactions, andconsequencesforallpersonsinvolvedwiththeCubScoutPack9WeBeLoSIDen. II.BehaviorExpectations(Rules): 1.Boyswillberespectfulofthemselves,eachother,andtheirAdultLeaders. 2.BoyswillonlyusekindwordswhenspeakingtoeachotherortoAdultLeaders. 3.BoyswilllistentotheirAdultLeadersandfollowdirectionsatalltimes. 4.Boyswillpickupandproperlydisposeofalltrash,includingcrafts,projects,andsnacktrash. 5.Boyswillrefrainfromexcessivesilliness,horseplay,andoveractivityduringallDen/Packactivities. 6.Boyswillshowresponsibilitybyfollowingtheabovebehaviorexpectations. III.DisciplinePolicy(Consequences): ThedisciplineofCubScoutsshouldbeaccomplishedinstepsandbeprogressiveinnature,givingtheCubScoutevery opportunitytochangetheirbehaviorpatterns.Insomecasesitmaybenecessarytoskipstepsdependingonthe seriousnessofthebehavior(s).Theprogressivestepsinourdisciplinaryprocesswillinclude: A.Warning:TheCubScoutwillbeverballywarnedbytheirAdultLeader(s)and(maybe)remindedofthe CubScoutPromiseandtheLawofthePack. B.TimeOut(TO):Ifawarningdoesnotalleviatethebehavior,theAdultLeaderistoremovetheCub Scoutfromtheactivity,temporarily,forashortTimeOut.ThisTOwillbedonewithatleastoneother AdultorParentpresentneveralone.ThesefewminutesofdiscussionwiththeCubScoutwillbespent specificallypointingouttheinappropriatebehavior,discussingalternativebehaviors,andhowthose behaviorsrelatetotheCubScoutPromiseandLawofthePack. WhentheAdultLeaderbelievestheCubScoutisready,hemayrejointhegroup.AllTOswillbedocumented andreportedtotheCubmasterafterthemeetingoractivity.MultipleTOsmayresultintheDenLeaderor CubmastercontactingtheCubScoutsParent(s).IfTOsdonotcorrectthebehavior(s),thefollowingactions mayoccur: C.SuspensionFromDen/PackMeetings:AconferencemustbeheldwiththeCubScout,Parent(s), Cubmaster,andDenLeaderbeforetheCubScoutwillbeallowedtoreturntoregularDen/Packactivities. D.DismissalFromthePack:AlthoughwedonotwanttodismissanyonefromCubScouting,itmaybe necessary,insomecases,toremovetheCubScoutfromPack9forthesafetyandbenefitofother CubScouts. ~1~

V.Parent/GuardianContract: Beforesigningbelow,pleasereadthefollowingcarefully: 1)ItistheresponsibilityoftheboysandtheirParents/Guardianstokeeptheirboysbehaviorincheck.IftheParents/ Guardiansdont(orwont)disciplinetheirchildren,theAdultLeadersofPack9reservetherighttoenforcetherules setforthintheattacheddocument:BehaviorExpectations&DisciplinePolicy.

2)Furthermore,atnotimemayconsequencesforunacceptablebehaviorincludecorporalpunishment,withholdingof food,orphysicalactivity(e.g.pushups,runninglaps,etc.)Consequencesaremeanttoimproveandencourage appropriatebehavior,notbeapunishment.IfatanytimeanAdultLeader/Parent/Guardianisproventohave implementedthesetypesofconsequences,theymaybesubjecttodismissalfromtheirleadershippositionandpossibly beingbarredfromCubScoutPack9,WeBeLoSIDen.

3)Finally,thisbehavioralpolicyisnotintendedtoexclude,discriminateagainst,orpreventparticipationofchildrenwit behavioralconditionsresultingfromadiagnosedmedicalconditionordisability.Wedonotrequirethedisclosureof

doctorand/orprofessionalrecommendationsinmanagingordiscipliningchildrenwithsaiddiagnosis/disability.Howeve intheeventofBehaviorViolationsasdescribedintheattachedform,voluntarydisclosureofsuchrecommendations willbetakenintoconsiderationinthedisciplinaryprocess.Ifnodoctorand/orprofessionalrecommendationsare provided,thenappropriatedisciplinaryactionwillbesolelydeterminedbytheattachedBehaviorExpectations& DisciplinePolicy.
