A Definition of Moorish Science

The seeking Moorish Scientist in called a traveler (Salik) in search for the infinite and unchanging Aught for Truth (haqiqat) is Aught and Aught is Allah (the Infinite, Neter Neteru, Brahman, Yahuwa, The Tao). Moorish Science urges the seeker (talib) to allow himself to be raised to the higher planes on consciousness by traveling through the realms of nasuwt (realm of the created beings), malakuwt (realm of the angelic entities) and lahuwt (realm of the Most High). As one meaning of the word Moor is Navigator, the Moorish Scientist navigates in his travels through the realms of time and space. The Navigation process is synonymous with ships and sailing, thus the Sailing process represents the beginning of motion in the plane of creation. Motion is the first cause, thus, creating the realm of time and space, which generate the conditions for the phenomenal universe. Prior to the first cause, there was the primeval state (Ein Soph) of being without any form and without existence in the realm of time and space. Therefore, Moorish Science teaches that Human beings are Humans becoming forever ascending upward through the hierarchical systems of the Infinite, from the lower

The infinite process of consciousness evolution, despite the many wrong turns man may make on his journey, encodes the blueprints of MANs ultimate destiny which says, MAN is doomed to perfection. The Divine Constitution, with its seven universal principles (articles) of Mind, Correspondence, Vibration, Polarity, Rhythm, Cause and Effect and Gender; represent the governing entity of MAN and in MAN.
