Passover

Luke 22:1: Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover. Exodus 12:17: And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever. Exodus 12:26: And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service? Verse 27: That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORDs passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped. The Passover is a day that honors the deliverance of the 12 tribes of Israel from Egypt which is in Africa. The name Passover refers to the blood the Most High required we put upon the two side posts of our doors and passed over our houses when he sent the plaque of death upon all the first born. (Exodus 12:12-13, 21-23). Exodus 12: 12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. It was during this turbulent time of fear that the Most High proved to Egypt and his chosen people the Israelites that all the Egyptian gods were false idols. For example when he smote the Nile with blood he proved that there is no nile god named Sobek neither a sun god called Ra when he made darkness for three days. Even Moses who at one time had to learn all the false idol gods of Egypt- ACTS 7:22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds. Moses had to be re-taught and repent of all the lies of Khem (Africa) to be an effective of Israel. Hebrews 11: 24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaohs daughter; [25] Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; [26] Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. [27] By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. The Feast of Unleavened Bread is called after the event that occurred to our fathers in Egypt. Exodus 12:30: And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead. Verse 31: And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said. Verse 32: Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also. Verse 33: And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men. Verse 34: And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.

Passover is always kept in the Spring season which is the first month of Abib. The word Abib means ear of corn which refers to the spring season when corn sprouts. Exodus 34:18: The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt. Exodus 12:18: In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even. The Heavenly Father gave us strict commandment of how to observe his feast. He commanded us not to eat anything leavened. Exodus 12:19: Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land. Verse 20: Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread. He also commanded us to observe the 1st and 7th as solemn Sabbath days. Exodus 12:16: And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you. It was also commanded that we take a lamb and sacrifice it for the Passover. Exodus 12:21: Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover. But now Christ has become that lamb without blemish for Israel. Through him we shall receive deliverance from our sins and bondage as our fathers did from Egypt. The Passover/Feast of Unleavened bread is meant to be kept forever . The Apostle Paul even kept it in Greece, in the faith of Christ. Acts 20:6: And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of Unleavened Bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days. Paul further instructed the Israelite church in Corinth/Greece to keep the Passover. 1st Corinthians 5:7: Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Verse 8: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. Jeremiah 16:14: Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; Verse 15: But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers. Proving even in the kingdom we will celebrate the Passover however we wont be talking about deliverance from Egypt but rather our deliverance from the land of the North, North America. The Observation of the Passover Congregate with fellow believing Israelites and with your families. It is very important that your wives and children be taught the meaning of the Passover, read Exodus 12:3-4.

The Passover meal consists of Lamb or Goat (read Exodus 12:5), Bitter Herbs, Unleavened Bread (Exodus 12:8) and Wine (Matthew 26:18-19, 26-29).

How the Passover meal is to be prepared: The Lamb or Goat must be roasted with fire, read Exodus 12:9, Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water (meaning the Lamb or Goat must not be cooked in water with seasoning), but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof. The Lamb or Goat must be cooked / roasted whole, because the bones are not to be broken, read Exodus 12:46. If it is possible that you can fulfill this scriptures then do so, if not, then get the meat in small pieces (Judges 5:11), and roast the Passover meal. For the Unleavened Bread, Matzos can be used. For the Bitter Herbs, any plant in the Lettuce family can be used. The last thing is the Wine; the children can have grape juice. Note: If the Passover falls on the regular Sabbath (Friday to Saturday sundown), then it must be cooked on that day to keep the Passover. The ordinances state that the Passover meal must be prepared on that day. The Passover is the ONLY High Holy Day that if it falls on the regular Sabbath, cooking is allowed.

The Passover service: Have a small service, beginning and ending with the reading of the Lords prayer, Matthew 6:9-13.

Read the scriptures pertaining to the Passover, Leviticus 23:5-8, Psalms chapter 105 and 106, Matthew 26:7-13, Matthew 26:26-29, I Corinthians 5:7-13 and Exodus 12:111 (explanation of the Passover meal).

 Before eating, send up a prayer to bless the food and drinks. The Passover is to be celebrated with gladness and mirth. Music and games can be played for this festival celebration. No BUYING or SELLING is allowed on the Passover. Therefore, all food must be purchased the day before. If possible, try to get off from work along with your children from school. These are days to be taken in order to honor the Most High.

The Feast of Unleavened Bread For seven (7) days starting with Passover, food with leaven MUST not be eaten! The Observation of the Feast of Unleavened Bread All products containing leaven (yeast) must be taken out of the household. The first and the last days are holy convocations. Therefore, no Buying or Selling is permitted.
