Septic tank calculation: Septic tank capacity were calculated base on the assumption that it will be cleaned every 6 months (about 180 days). According to sub-item 25.1.1, page 311, document (4) Water flow rate for calculation of septic tank base on following formular : QN = qng x N (l/day) Where: QN : Design drainage water flow rate (l/day) qng : Water supply flow rate for 1 person/day. For factory, qng = 25 (l/day.person). According to sub-item 1.2 page 7, document (4) N : Number of people working in 1 day. N = 2shift x 236 = 472 person Then: QN = 25 x 472 = 11.800 (l/day) = 11.8 m3/day. Total volume of the septic tank base on formular: W = Wn + Wc (m3) Where: Wn : Water volume of the septic tank, equal to 1.5 times the daily water drain (m3). Wc : Solid volume of the septic tank (m3) Wc = [a.T.(100-N1).b.c].N / [(100-W2).1000] a : Solid (amount of seed) from 1 person/day, equal to 0.6 l/day.person. T : Cleaning interval, T = 180 days. W1 : Water content ratio of the raw solid, W1 = 95% W2 : Water content ratio of the treated solid, W2 = 90% b : Factor taking into account the reduction of the solid volume after treated, b = 0.7.

c : Factor taking into account the left-behind volume of the solid after clean, c = 1.2 N : Number of people, N = 472 person. Then: W = 1.5x11.8 + 21.4 = 39.1 (m3) Volume of the septic tank at each toilet depend on the number of WC of that toilet on total number of WC in the whole factory. Result of caculation are as follows: (We considered to typicalize the tank) + WC1 near G.L 10-11: W1 = 10 (m3) + WC2 near G.L 5-6: W2 = 10 (m3) + WC3,4 for 1st & 2nd floor office: W3,4 = 15 (m3) + WC5 near Canteen: W5 = 6 (m3) Each septic tank comprises of 3 compartments compartment compartments All septic tanks to be located outdoor. + 1 storage + 2 drainage

II. Calculation for grease trap - Water volume of the grease trap base on formular: Wn = N1 . a1 . t . K (m3) As per sub-item K.10, Annex K, document (3) Where: N1 : Number of people having meal in 1 shift, N1 = 340 person (considered for phase 2 and phase 3) a1 : Drainage water flowrate, as per ssub-item 7, table K3, document (3), a1 = 19 l/person. t : Number of hour water will stay in the tank, for single kitchen, t = 1.5 h. K : Utiilization factor of the building, for drainage water from single kitchen, K = 1.5 Then Wn = 0.606 (m3)
