GUIDE LINE (INFORMATIVE) TO THE DESCRIPTION OF THE CRITICAL ANOMALIES FOR THE VERIFICATION OF A "FPC" FOR THE PRODUCTION

OF METAL STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS ACCORDING TO EN1090. The table below shows examples of anomalies found during an audit in accordance with EN1090-1 and EN1090-2. These anomalies, as well as written, should be treated as critical and require immediate treatment from the company. However, some of these may be downgraded as a result of careful evaluation in reference to the extension of the range of products and the critical issues that the anomaly generates in the whole of the product produced. N. 1 Anomaly description The manufacturer has not performed the initial type testing prior to construction (ITC/ITT). There is no documented FPC; the results of the inspections and checks in accordance to FPC are not systematically recorded; one or more requirements from para. 6.3.2 to 6.3.8 are systematically ignored or omitted. The product is not classified according to their execution class. The product is delivered without a clear marking that identifies the correct relationship with the component specification. The constituent products used are not selected according to harmonized standards and there are no documents highlighting the evaluation of the characteristics. There is no system for the identification of components during the manufacturing stages. The requirements of the cutting process of the constituent materials are not satisfied with either the quality has been verified prior to start the manufacturing stages. The forming process of the constituent materials systematically reduces the original properties of the material to a level below that specified. The capacity of the drilling process has not been verified. The applied relevant part of the standard ISO3834 does not comply with reference to the execution class of the product produced. No WPSs are used in production areas. The welding process is not qualified. The qualification of the welding process does not include specified additional tests. The welding personnel is not qualified. Code Ref. EN1090-1 6.2

Descrizione anomalia Welding activities are not coordinated by suitably qualified personnel and with appropriate experience. One or more of the requirements for the preparation and execution of the welds are not satisfied in a systematic way by creating a serious problem for the final quality of the product with regard to the declared characteristics. The result of the level of the final quality of the welds is not verified or is not systematically satisfied in relation to the level required. One or more essential tolerances are not met. The inspections and tests are not determined in a plan and / or documented procedures. The controls of the welds are performed by unqualified personnel. The extension of the controls of the welds does not meet the specified requirements with reference to the execution class and/or the type of joint. There is no evidence of checks carried out on preloaded bolted connections.
