OBJECTIVES
1. Set the pupils in time and space with the use of pictures and newspaper articles
of the 1970´.
2. Listen to the song : “ Imagine” by John Lennon, without the lyrics.
3. Make them listen to find specific information in the song: heaven, hell, easy,
peace, dreamer, hard.
4. Ask the students to match the words and its definition according to the song:
Peace
To stop living.
Share
Difficult to do or understand.
Dreamer
A place where god lives.
Hell
The Earth in which we live.
6. Then give the students the same words all mixed up for them to find the
opposites and check their own work.
7. Play the song again and give them the lyrics written in small sheet of papers so
that they put the different parts in order while they listen :
You may say I´m a dreamer You may say I´m adreamer Imagine there´s no countries
But I´m not the only one But I´m not the only one It isn´t hard to do
I hope some day you´ll join us I hope some day you´ll join Nothing to kill or die for
and the world will be as one. us and the world will be as No religion too

Living life in peace…
8. Play the song again and elicit ideas that are the message of the song: living in
peace, brotherhood, no dying, people sharing the world, no greed, no hunger, the
world as one…
9. Comment around the class about the elicited ideas.
10. Suggest students adding another stanza to the song, or simple completing
sentences with the student´s own ideas and thoughts: “ Imagine……………”
11. Write own messages to display in the school noticeboard.
12. Prepare a balloon party ( suelta de globos) with messages write on small cards
attached to the balloons.( if possible)
