DISTINCTLY ELEGANT
Taking its cues from our Fluidic Sculpture design philosophy, the new Elantra was inspired by the interplay of wind and natural forms to create a stylish sculpture, literally crafted by wind. The result is a sleek, assertive and highly distinctive design that is guaranteed to command attention wherever it goes.

Electric mirrors
To maximise visibilit y, the Elantra driver can quickly and easily adjust the electronic ally controlled side mirrors with a touch of a button. The bright LED indicators increase safety when turning or changing lanes.

HEADLAMPS
The Elantra features sporty and multi-focused reflector headlamps. The headlamps are swept far back to give an elegant look. These headlamps increase visibility and offer added safety and visual appeal.

FOG LAMPS
The Elantra features attractive fog lamps which are neatly recessed and mounted low for the best performance in foggy conditions.

REAR TAIL LAMPS

The Elantras rear tail lamps look elegant and help you see better when reversing. These lamps have been neatly designed within the rear of the vehicle in order to enhance the fluidic, sculptured lines, which are prevalent on the vehicles profile.

AERODYNAMICS
A sloping, coupe-like roofline, increased wheelbase and swept-back headlamps give this sedan a sporty, low profile and an assertive, powerful stance. The distinctive hexagonal radiator grille lends authority and muscle to the vehicles image.

17 ALLOYS*
Attraction plus traction. The 17 alloy wheels of the Elantra not only look amazing, but coupled with the 215/45R17 size tyres, they provide added grip over a variety of road surfaces and weather conditions.

HEXAGONAL GRILLE
A key to the Hyundai family look is the hexagonal grille which projects an image of authority and distinction. This grille also ensures that anyone who sees the Elantra on the road will instantly recognise it.

ANOTHER DIMENSION
The Elantra has a longer wheel base than its predecessor and a longer overall length. The front slope has been slightly lifted and the effect is a remarkably roomy and efficient overall package.

The heart of the Elantras story may well be the enormous strides that Hyundai is making in power train engineering. The new Elantra comes with a choice of two all new, remarkably advanced engines which manage to deliver more power while consuming less fuel and producing fewer emissions.

POWERTRAIN
The lighter aluminium 1.8/Nu engine is capable of up to 110kW at 6500rpm while producing 178Nm of peak torque at 4700rpm. The 1.6 liter D-CVVT Gamma engine yields a maximum output of 96kW at 6300rpm with a peak torque of 157Nm at 4850rpm. By squeezing the maximum amount of energy from each drop of fuel, these engines deliver excellent fuel economy while lowering operating costs.

SIX-SPEED TRANSMISSION
Whether you prefer the six-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission, youre guaranteed smooth power delivery and unmatched fuel economy. The new six-speed automatic transmission developed by Hyundai is more fuel efficient, lighter and has fewer moving parts than the previous five-speed it replaces. This development places Hyundai in an elite group of automakers that independently design and manufacture their own transmissions.

ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL

A first for the Elantra, engineers have incorporated an electronic throttle control into the system. It replaces the conventional cable and mechanical linkage with fast-responding electronics. This system accurately controls air intake and engine torque for improved driveability, response and fuel economy.

PACKED WITH FEATURES TO HELP KEEP YOU SAFE

The Elantra comes standard with highly advanced safety features. The Anti-Locking Braking System (ABS), which provides maximum braking force when a sudden stop is required. The Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), automatically adjusts the braking force to front and rear axles based on the vehicles loading conditions. When it comes to safety the Elantra is a cut above the rest.

ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC)

ESC* compensates for over or under-steering by predicting your intended path and applying just the right amount of braking force to individual wheels to help you maintain control.

6 AIRBAGS
Despite all of the Elantras advanced safety features, sometimes accidents are just unavoidable. That is why we have loaded the Elantras interior with six airbags*, which include front, side impact and side curtain airbags, that are sure to keep you and your passengers safe. Driver and passenger airbags are standard on the Premium model.

HIGH TENSILE STEEL

We are always looking for ways to keep you safe behind the wheel. That is why the Elantra uses high performance, ultra-high tensile steel. This special steel alloy applied to safety critical areas of the body shell where additional strength is required, creates a safe and superior structure.

REAR PARK ASSIST

For safer parking and reversing, sensors are mounted in the rear bumper of the Elantra* to help detect unseen obstructions. Should you get a little too close, RPA issues an alert to the driver, warning of the obstruction.
