Iwrotetheexcerptofthestorythatisprovidedbelow,whilemyprojectpartnertranscribedthestory intoAfricanAmericanVernacularEnglish(AAVE).Together,wedesignedanillustratedbookthatcouldberead inbothStandardEnglishandAAVE.Thebookincluded: AmapofAfricaforstudentstoseewheretwoofthecountriesmentionedinthetextare.
