o rata if part-time) The University of Roehampton has vacancies for a number of departmentally based research facilitators to enhance disciplinary research culture through co-ordinating research activity, advising on bidding and grant submissions (both within disciplines and through other interdisciplinary collaboration), and ensuring that research and knowledge exchange obtains the maximum possible visibility and impact. The post holders will work in partnership with our vibrant academic community, with the Universitys Research Office and other support departments and will liaise routinely with academics, external funders, community partners and collaborators in other disciplines and other universities. Research active yourself and/or with sound research experience, you will ensure that the department keeps up-to-date with changes in the external funding environment, that research centres are supported and that the quality of bids remains high in order to contribute to the implementation of ambitious research plans. You will have a post graduate degree and experience of research or community engagement with significant personal experience of research facilitation in academic and/or commercial environments. A detailed awareness and understanding of discipline specific environments and related ethics and governance issues is essential for these posts, as is a highly developed knowledge of project management and practice. You will also have the ability to communicate clearly with excellent IT, numerical and organisational skills and the ability to work independently and concurrently on a range of different projects.
