Traversing
This ngondro, (preliminary), text can be practiced
daily. During retreat one should arise at the time of calling
keeping the outer discipline of the monk, novice or layman,
whatever is appropriate to your training and circumstance,
and having the sincere motivation to
generate bodhicitta, assemble together.
NYIPA NURCHU TAMCHEY MITAG CHING
Secondly the entire universe and
its contents are impermanent,
GURSU DROWAI TSESOG CHUBUR DRA
especially the life-force of sentient
beings which is like a bubble.
NAMCHI CHAMAY SHI TSE RORU JUR
At the time of death we die alone
and ones body becomes a corpse,
DELA CHOCHI PENCHIR TSONPAY DRUB
then only the dharma is of beneft,
so practice with diligence.
Karma, cause
and fruit:
SUMPA SHI TSE RANGWANG MIDU WA
Thirdly, at the time of death
ones freedom will be lost,
LAYNI DAG GIR JACHIR DIGPA
usurped by ones karma;
therefore abandon deflements

and accumulate virtue
continuously until death.

Keeping the commitments and instructions of the secret-mantra Vajra Master
