Introduction

The swine flu is a disease that is affecting all the population around the world. We choose to investigate about it because we are really concern about this illness but not how people are reacting, and if they are really doing the specifications that the government suggested. The swine flu its now a days one of the most important and discussed subject on news, the purpose of this investigation is to see if really the students of Prepa TEC Campus Guadalajara arent really taking the precautions, why they are not taking them, and if they know someone with the disease.

Research objectives

The objectives of this investigation are:

1. See how people are reacting to the pandemic. 2. See if the students of Prepa TEC Campus Guadalajara are mature enough to take the precautions. 3. Learn how many students are taking the establish precautions 4. Know how big the pandemic in Prepa TEC Campus Guadalajara is.

Research Questions

1. What do you think about the pandemic? 2. Are you concern about this illness? 3. Do you know the risk of this disease? 4. Are you taking any precautions? 5. What precautions are you taking? 6. Why arent you taking any precautions? 7. Why are you taking precautions? 8. Do you know someone with swine flu? 9. Do you think that the school is taking good preventive steps? 10.What you think the school can do to fight and prevent the illness? 11.What would you do if you were infected?

Hypothesis and Variables

The hypothesis is that students of prepa TEC campus Guadalajara dont care about there health related to the swine flu and dont take the measures that government suggested.

The direct variable of our hypothesis is the questions because if a question changes the result would change as well The indirect variable is the people that we ask the questions because with their answers we can see if our hypothesis is true or false

Results

With the surveys, we can determ that our hypothesis was false. We couldnt prove it as true, because of the 40 people we survey, a higher percent answered that they were concern about the illness, and they knew people with these disease. What we can observe in the surveys that a very big percent that are concern about the illness, arent taking any precaution. This is the reason of why are so many contagions in Mexico and all around the world. In the question Do you think that the school is taking good preventive steps? we can observe that it is really short the difference between booth answers. This shows us that the school is tanking preventing, but it would be better if we had a bigger percent of the answer yes. We can determine that the school should re enforce the precautions that they are taking. The Swine Flu is a disease that is affecting the entire world, and with this small scale, we are showing that all the world, arent taking the precautions they should take. These also must be an alert for the school, so they implement more preventions.

Justification

The purpose of this sociological research, is to demonstrate that a big part of the students of the Prepa TEC Campus Guadalajara dont care about the pandemic of the Swine Flu, they dont take preventive steps for their own health, to know how big it is in this social circle, by a public record search; asking them some specific questions. The questions are based in the hypothesis; they were made to know specific things that we want to know if our hypothesis is true or false. We also want to know if they think that the school is taking the necessary precautions for fighting against the illness, and to prevent massive infection inside the institution. We have some reasons for making this research, if we right on our theory, we are going to pass the results to the Prepa TEC director, so he improved the fighting, we want to know how the students are informed about the problem, and how would they react if they were infected.
