Bil. 1.

Aspects The set induction

Observation It was short and simple and the pupils were able to follow instruction given by the teacher.

2.

The lead-in

Good class control where the teacher commanded the pupils to follow the teachers instruction especially when the song was first played to the pupils. After listening to the song twice, most of the pupils can sing the song with teachers guidance. Pupils are able to understand teachers instruction. - Pupils are able to read aloud the days of the week correctly. - Pupils pronounced correctly the days of the week with teachers guidance. - Only some of the pupils managed to write all answers correctly in the word scrambling activity. - Some of the pupils are able to write down the name of the missing days but all of them enjoyed colouring the caterpillars. - Pupils are quite confused with instruction given for the mini book activity. Only some of the pupils understand the instructions given during this activity. When the teacher chose one pupil to present her mini book, most of the pupils did not listen to the pupil due to her small voice and all of them were busy with their own mini book. A little bit disorganised because when the teacher tried to wraps up the lesson, the pupils are still busy doing their mini book and refused to listen to teacher.

5. Aspects for special comment (Which part of the lesson you are particularly impressed with or dislike most? Justify your comment.) The part that I enjoyed the most is the presentation stage where the teacher introducing the song to the pupils and use colourful word cards to show the name of the days of the week after the pupils singing the song. For the song, the tune used is easy which helps the pupils a lot to follow the rhythm of the song and enjoy themselves. 6. Enhancing practice: What were the strengths and aspects of good practice? The read-aloud activity is very good because the pupils are able to follow the correct pronunciation for each of the vocabulary taught by teacher. 7. Enhancing practice: What aspects of practice might be enhanced, and how? The word scramble is very hard for the pupils level because their spelling skills are very low although they are able to spells out the word correctly during reading aloud activity. Therefore, the practice can be improved by giving them a simpler task such as tracing the words of the vocabulary. We agree that this is a fair record of the teaching session.
