Parttime Position Available: Administrative Coordinator Missourians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty

Missourians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty (MADP), a non-profit social justice organization, seeks a motivated, experienced administrative coordinator to support our abolition efforts. MADP is comprised of chapter groups, affiliate organizations, and individuals across the state united in our efforts to end the death penalty. MADP is affiliated with the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty. See www.madpmo.org for more details. The Administrative Coordinator will work from home and can be based anywhere in Missouri. He or she will provide accountability, oversight of fundraising efforts, support for chapters, and communication with national groups as needed. The position may require occasional travel within the state. Duties: Perform regular office duties such as answering phone and emails, handling mail, database and files, maintaining website/social media, publicity and producing materials as needed. Some of these tasks may be assigned to Board members or other persons. Oversee fundraising/donor development efforts by working with a committee and others in writing grants, donor development, etc. This will include receiving, acknowledging, recording, and depositing donations and membership dues, including online donations. Maintain statewide communication through MADP database, website, and newsletter, especially working with MADP chapters as needed on projects; assist with membership promotion. Work with national groups as needed on death penalty issues. Qualifications: Commitment to abolition of the death penalty Self-motivated and self-directed Basic computer literacy, including competency with Microsoft Office Software, desktop publishing, and website. Good organizational skills Excellent writing and oral communication skills Team work experience and ability to work with the public. Fundraising experience a plus College degree preferred or equivalent work experience Salary/Benefits: This part-time position is based on twenty (20) hours per week at $15 per hour, totaling $15,600 per year. MADP will arrange for a cell phone and computer use.
