Accelerators for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.

1.Notifications Accelerator
Overview
The Notifications Accelerator for Microsoft® Dynamics® CRM 4.0 provides your CRM users with the ability to
subscribe to RSS feeds created from saved views in CRM. These RSS feeds may be displayed in any standard
RSS feed reader including the RSS feed Windows Vista® Gadget and Microsoft Outlook® 2007.

Installation
The Notifications Accelerator for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 is designed to be installed with little configuration. It
consists of a few web pages that are installed in the ISV subdirectory of your CRM web site, compiled code
installed in the bin subdirectory of the CRM web site, and ISV.Config customizations that must be imported for any
CRM Organization you wish to generate feeds for.

Running the Installer

The Notifications Accelerator for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 installer handles installation tasks, including
updating ISV.Config customizations, but does not enable ISV.Config customizations.
The installer must be run by a user who has the appropriate security privileges to update ISV.Config
customizations in CRM. To install the Notifications Accelerator for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0:
1. In the directory where the Notifications Accelerator for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 files have been
extracted, double-click setup.exe.

Updating ISV.config for Non-English Languages

The Notifications Accelerator for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 does allow for multiple languages, however the
language installed by default is English (1033). If your organization’s language is Non-English, then you’ll need to
manually update the ISV.Config customizations to display your language.
Before updating, you first need to export ISV.Config customizations from CRM:
1. Navigate to Settings > Customization > Export Customizations
2. Select ISV.Config and click Export Selected Customizations. Click ‘OK’ on the warning dialog that is
displayed.
3. When prompted, save the customizations.zip file to a directory where you can easily locate it later.
4. Locate the customizations.zip file and extract its contents.
5. Browse to the extracted files and open customizations.xml for editing. This can be done with any program
capable of editing XML or plain-text files.

Text value with your appropriate text to be displayed, or
