General information
Buje is a mountainous area located near Priboj (Serbia), of 1000 m above sea level. It is situated at the junction of three borders of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, 40 km from Priboj (Serbia), 14 km from Pljevlja (Montenegro) and 50 km from ajnice (BiH). This region is covered with coniferous and deciduous forests, rich in streams and springs of cold and clear water teeming with river trout, the magnificent canyon of the Sueska River, a very famous lost river Buevka, has rocks with caves and a rich flora and fauna. The nearby mountains are ideal for mountaineers and alpinists; this area is a treasury of health. It is known for years as a place where people gladly go to in order to enjoy the magnificent view and the unspoiled nature. Because of these reasons there already exist mountain clubs as places for gatherings of mountaineers, sportsmen, hunters and also of people who want to have a rest away from the city noises. In this region, with its size of 8290 hectares, 15 km of asphalt road was built and 60 km of other roads. The total area of the land under cultivation is 4113 hectares, while the afforested area includes 4177 hectares. Of this area 3402 hectares is state owned and 4888 hectares is a private property. On the territory of Bucje there are 430 inhabitants in 35 small villages occupied mainly with agriculture, cattle raising, processing of lumber and growing healthy food. Tourism for now does not represent an important activity on the territory of Buje. There are, unfortunately individual attempts to achieve some changes regarding this (The Mountaineering and Hunting Society, individuals, etc). The number of visits and spending the night is small, mostly by people from Priboj and from the vicinity. But, there is no doubt that Bucje possesses valuable natural resources for the development of tourism. One of the main shortages of the tourist product of Bucje is the absence of a sufficient number of suitable accommodation facilities, the total tourist infrastructure as well as the lack of a long term development plan for this area, especially in the branch of tourism. Bearing in mind the existing situation, as well as the potentials of Buje related to tourism, the civil association EDUKTPLAN-PRIBOJ decided to enter the project of adapting the existing and constructing new tourist facilities, as well as to collaborate with all interested subjects with the aim to build a mutual strategy of a sustainable development of tourism in this area.

Present state
The facility itself is located next to the R-114 road Priboj-Pljevlja and has playing grounds for small football, handball, basketball and volleyball, a kitchen with the dining room, a hall for entertainment, four classrooms, 3 offices, teachers room, pupils museum, 2 two- bedroom apartments and two one-room apartments, as well as the attic space which can be adapted for accommodating the seminar attendees. The building is ruined and it is necessary to adapt it for use. Running water needs to be connected to the building and the sewer from the building. The entire building needs to be repainted, the floorboard replaced and the windows which were broken glassed; it is necessary to check the electric power system, procure kitchen equipment, furniture for the rooms... We want to equip the existing apartments in the following way: The two-bedroom apartments as two three-bed rooms with a joint sitting room The one-bedroom apartments as two-bed rooms The attic space can be adapted in the future period as a sleeping room with mattresses for sleeping The kitchen with the dining room will be equipped for the need of meals The two classrooms will retain their use; one will be fitted for a TV room and the other as an entertaining club The basement room will be turned into a disco club The showers will be in the ground floor The earthen bakery which is not in function for a long time will be activated in front of the building The sports grounds will be illuminated and with an announcer Benches will be placed in the park in front of the school for rest together with tables and swings and other equipment for the children The food will be supplied from the village producers of healthy food

- Monasteries St. Nikola at Banja near Priboj (1168. the year when first mentioned ) St. Djordje in Maii Uvac monastery Holy trinity church in Pljevlja A church in Krajinovii built by Mehmed paa Sokolovi, on the grave of his mother. In the vicinity of this church are three mineral springs o A mosque from 1758 in Priboj o A mosque in Medjureje, which belongs to the oldest ones in this area o o o o o Pribojska Banja (spa) one of the most important factors for tourism development in the area of Priboj, known from the period of Romans; a powerful spring with radioactive water. The capacity of this spring is 70 liters per second and the temperature is 36.5 degrees. There is a legend concerning the healing effects of the water of the spa, which says that thanks to it king Uros got cured and therefore built the St Nikola Monastery as a sign of gratitude. The water of the Pribojska Banja (spa) is used for curing chronic arthritis and muscle inflammatory, rheumatism, sciatica, gynecology diseases, etc.
