A mathematical class in a school is divided in to set A with 12 students and set B with 25
students. Both groups are given a test consisting of 16 short questions. For any student in
set A, the score (that is the number of correct answers) is distributed as B(16,0.75) for any
student in set B, the score is distributed as B(16,0.5).All students answer independently.
Find the probability that,
(i) A given set A student gets all 16 questions right.
(ii) At least one student in set A gets all 16 questions right

(a) A wheel and axle has its axis fixed horizontally and it can turn freely about this axis. Its
moment of inertia about the axis is I. Light inextensible string are wrapped round the
wheel and the axel, and masses M, m hang from their respective free ends. The radius of
the wheel is a and that of the axel is b. If the system is released from rest. Write down
equations of motion and find its angular acceleration and ratio of tensions in the two
strings.

(b)A uniform rod of mass m and length 2a can turn freely about one end which is fixed. It is
started with angular velocity from the position in which it hangs vertically. Show that if
