Your Central Student Government together with the University Athletics Office (UAO) will once again organize the 2013University Intramurals with the theme Xavier Ruby Olympics: Blazing the Ateneo Spirit. The XU-CSG Events Committee, headed by John Kenneth Rizon will be issuing the following guidelines for the strict compliance of all participating colleges. Opening Ceremonies September 14, 2013 5:00 PM


(Person-in-Charge: John Kenneth Jek-Jek Rizon, Events Com Head,09351667635) 1. Registration/Checking of IDs Starts at 3:00 PMat the registration area outside the XU Gym, but the XU Gym gates will be opened by 4:00PM At 4:00 4:30 PM, only bonafide XU students, university administration, and VIPs will be allowed to pass through the registration area and enter the gym At 4:30 PM, XU Alumni and outsiders (defined as non- tertiary/graduate students, faculty and staff of XU) will be allowed to pass through the registration area, but only the first 50 of them will be accommodated. The others will only be allowed to pass through at 5:15 PM, only if there are still seats available Collection of bottles will be done in the registration area. But bottles are not mandatory entrance requirements. However, the bottles will have merits to the candidates for the Mr. and Ms. Intramurals The registration area will be h andled by CSG volunteers while the specific gym entrances for the colleges will be handled by the College Councils . The College Councils have the total discretion on the entrance procedure for their college, but they must assure that only students who belong in their College may enter through their assigned gates. Each college council must secure at least 8 volunteers for their assigned entrance gate Each college council must secure at least 3 volunteers to usher the students to go to their assigned entrances

The XU administrators, faculty and staff, sponsors, performers, and Cheerdancers parents will register through the special lane and will enter the gym through the VIP gate (the one near the stage and in close proximity with the Satellite Canteen) XU-CSG reserves the right to restrict entrance to the gym in the interest of public safety The registration area floor map is attached to this memo

2. Dress code Assigned College Colors: 1. Educ - Royal Blue 2. Aggies -Green 3. ComStud - Gray 4. SBM - Yellow 5.CIT - Black 6.Engg - Maroon 7.Artscies - Red 8. Nursing Sky Blue (those who just came from duty are exempted from the dress code) Medicine, Law or Graduate School students are not anymore required to follow a dress code but may do so at their discretion The dress code only applies to XU students The dress code is only encouraged to support the college, but not required for entrance College Councils are highly encouraged to provide their official volunteers with IDs and require them to wear council/college shirts 3. Parade and Banner Raising (Person-in-Charge: Xydelle Natividad, Events Com member, 09269798422) Assembly time is 4:00 PM Starts at 5:00 PM at the backstage A maximum of 20 athletes/college council officers, members/college faculty or staff per college, and team captains will be asked to join. It is the discretion of the council on who will be the 20 participants of the parade The Mr. & Ms. Intramurals candidates will join the parade, wearing sports attire (part of the 20 parade participants per college) The sequence of the parade will be as follows:1. XU Band 2. XU Varsity 3. CSG 4. Educ5.Aggies 6.CompStud 7.SBM 8.CIT 9.Engg 10.Artscies 11.Nursing 12.Medicine 13.Law College parade participants must wear their college intramurals uniform/council or college shirt Colleges are highly encouraged to use props during the parade The college banner to be used in the Banner Raising must be 36 x 48 inches and the design should only be your college icon placed at the center, and the color of the banner should be the official color of your college Colleges must provide 2 persons (part of the 20 parade participants per college)to run and raise the banner at the designated area Banner Raising is not included in the point system 4. Mr. & Ms. Intramurals 2013 (Person-in-Charge: John Paul Ocat, Project Head 09263494897) (Pls. refer to the guidelines given prior to this memo.) Attendance of the candidates during rehearsals should be strictly followed. 2 consecutive absences means a disqualification of the candidate. This is stipulated in the pageant manual provided to the college councils Grand rehearsals will be on September 20, 2013, 6:00 PM

5. Cheerdance Competition Guidelines (Person-in-Charge: Jek-Jek Rizon, 09351667635)

*For more detailed information, please refer to the Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan Cheerleading Competition Guidelines 2013 Edition given prior to this memo 6. Important reminders for the Cheerdance Competition: a. Drawing of Lots All team captains together with the coaches must be at the XU-CSG Office on September 14, 2013 (Saturday), 8:00 AM for the drawing of lots. If a representative of the team will not be present during the drawing of lots, the college will get the last pick in the lot (a XU-CSG or College Council official may be sent as a representative for the drawing of lots) Drawing of lots will start exactly at the aforementioned time and not when all teams have gathered at the designated (it is on a first come, first serve basis) b. Registration Registration will start at 3:00 PM; it will be at the XU Satellite Canteen XU-CSG will verify the registrants against the official list provided by the UAO. All team members must bring their XU ID during this process c. General Rehearsal Will be at 7:30 PM, September 13, 2013 An XU-CSG Events Com member will be stationed in the XU Gym stage and will be in charge of the General Rehearsal Registration Process The participants of the parade shall be present during the General Rehearsal As stipulated by the guidelines, the teams should provide their music in the said venue A teams failure to be present in their time slot will mean that they forfeit that time to rehearse Each team will be given a maximum of ten (10) minutes for its run through d. Music A duplicate CD/electronic copy (USB) must be made available by the College Councils or squads on or before 5:00 PM of September 13, 2013. This will be back up copies to be utilized by the event organizers(this is aside from the ones already given to the organizers) Teams must designate one (1) representative to run the music on the day of the performance ---This representative must remain at the sound table throughout the performance ---He/she cannot touch the sound board/device except to push the play button (once) at the beginning of the routine and stop button (once) at the end of the routine After the run-through, each team will be allowed to test their final canned music before the completion
