The following regulations apply to all graduate students who enrolled on or after September 1, 2006. Students are strongly urged to consult with their supervisors before taking courses for their intended degree program and specialization. The Department has established the following two graduate courses as required courses for the Master of Science and Doctoral degrees: ENCH701: Experimental Design and Error Analysis ENCH703: Advanced Mathematical Methods in Engineering M.Eng. (C) o All Master of Engineering course-based students must complete a minimum of 10 half-courses. o At least six of these courses must be graduate courses. o The majority of the courses (60% or more) should be related to the Chemical Engineering field. o The maximum credit on project work is two-half courses or one-full course. M.Eng. (T) o All Master of Engineering thesis-based students must complete a minimum of four (4) graduate half-courses. M.Sc. o Students must complete a minimum of four (4) graduate half-courses. o At least one of the courses must be either ENCH701 or ENCH703. o At least one of the courses must be from the list of core courses for the Chemical Engineering Specialization (ENCH 613, 623, 625, 631 and 633). o In addition, all full-time M.Sc. students are required to register and participate in the Research Seminar course (ENCH 601). Ph.D. students with an acceptable M.Sc. Degree o Students must complete a minimum of two (2) graduate half-courses. o Before proceeding to the candidacy examination, the student must have completed both ENCH701 and ENCH703 or equivalents, and at least two courses from the list of core courses for the Chemical Engineering Specialization (ENCH 613, 623, 625, 631 and 633). o In addition, all full-time Ph.D. students are required to register and participate in the Research Seminar course (ENCH 601). Ph.D. students without an acceptable Master Degree o Students must complete a minimum of six (6) graduate half-courses. o The courses must include ENCH701 and ENCH703. o At least two of the courses must be from the list of core courses for the Chemical Engineering Specialization (ENCH 613, 623, 625, 631 and 633). o In addition, all full-time Ph.D. students are required to register and participate in the Research Seminar course (ENCH 601).
